hey man Im going to be watching you as your doing theses studies.
The drawing you are doing may not be much now, but when you add gesture drawing and prespective to your studies, you will be the shit.
Dont let the outline define form, let the form define the outline.
check me out
Hi these are some work planes that I drew whilst going through the the-structure-of-man video tutorial series.moved from top
and the 5th image is referenced from a photo
I done this as more of a render test, also does anyone have any good tips for scanning in drawings.
Thanks for the tip humanNature6115
And thank you aussiedeza

Hey nice start anatomy is always the right way to go.
Just keep up with it, only thing i can say is watch out for the shapes in it look really carefully and see what you can make out of it.
Just keep it up and keep drawing
I recognised these from my SB. Yes yes, structure of man by riven phoenix, awesome step-by-step anatomy lessons. But you're way ahead of me, in a while you'll be one of the semi pros of this website.
I think you should practise a bit perspective, and so should i to be honest
Talent is not something you are born with, it is something you acquire. Hopefully.
Heh, I'm going through the Structure of Man right now myself . . . not that I've made much progress through it.
Keep practicing is about all I can say, and be sure to draw from life or accurate models too . . . great site for that is PoseManiacs (google it ), just use their 30-second drawing utility for gestures and the rest of their poses for everything else. A great thing about the posemaniacs website is that you can rotate the model, so you get a good idea of the volume of the model, great stuff.
had a go at drawing a perspective pose, any crits?
I also need to start working on drawing head/faces.
fanficbug. the 30 second drawing seems quite cool I will have to give it a try sooner or later
Nice studies u got going there, keep em comin!
here are some basic face studies.
Here is a design of a character I came up with.
I also had a go at doing some basic Grey scaling (is that the term for it I am not to sure)
Wow man great progress with faces.
Eyes are too big i think in your drawings(or too close to each other maybe)
Imagine eyes not as flat but half rounded and how eyelid goes and such, sry im bad in eng, i dont know how to say my thoughts..
Anyways good luck
And if you have time sometime check my Sketchbook, i want to know what do you think of it
Facial features are tricky to get down but its a good feeling when you have it down fairly well
I suggest Andrew Loomis book on Heads and Hands
He approaches it pretty nicely I thought when I was learning it
Actually I'm going to go review it again
I see what you mean the eyes are way to big
Thank you for the link
I suggest you start sketching lots of quick gesture drawings, because i think it will help you where you need it most.
I have started to do lots of quick gesture sketches using PoseManiacs 30-second gesture drawing app, (using 90 seconds instead of 30) thank you aprat for the suggestion and fanficbug for the site.
Another reference from a photo
Been a while since I last posted anything.
Looking good. Keep going with those gesture drawings and studies! One thing I noticed in some of your full body poses is that the head is small. The pose on the left in the last post has nice shading in some areas. Keep up the good work!
Here are my versions of going through the Figure Drawing 1 & 2 tutorial that fredflickstone done
And these are two more studies that I have done.
Those last 2 images are great. Love the face.
Your obviously doing the right things, just keep up the practise and draw from life/reference too. Look forward to seeing more.
my sketches here... http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=92997

Thank you SEVANS and Shalite
well here is the "finshed" pic, I feel like moving on to somthing else so I will be leaving this as is.
I can not belive how long it has been since i last logged on, let alone updated my sketch book.
well a couple of days after my last post, i went and got myself some of george bridgman books, and have currently been going through "the book of a hundred hands".

NoodleDoodle: heh thanks, but i did start this nearly a year ago
