Thanks very much I took a look at your sketchbook and I LOVE IT your style is awesome that's exactly what I want to reach you are my role model now
really grateful for your advice et oui je parle un peu de français que j'aime cette langue et je suis en train de s'améliorer car l'année prochaine Je vais déménager à Montréal et bien sûr je vaishey, and welcome on conceptart.org ! I agree with Dahlium, draw from life, everything you can, fill a whole sketchbook every week of stuff from life, also start to study anatomy( try loomis ebooks, they're great, free, and easy to find on internet ! ) , it's never too early lol, because it takes a lot of time to master the human body! i suggest you to follow a life drawing class if you can, it'll teach you a lot on improving your drawing skills and on anatomy ! Anyway, keep it up, show us that you're motivated, and if your nickname is in french, i suppose you speak french, donc depeche toi de nous montrer tes progrès !! cheers
dépêcher mon carnet de croquis
nice to find someone speaking French here

Now I have done some sketches I will post one now
so this is a drawing from life
and this is the calculator that I tried to draw a real shame that I couldn't get the likeness . waiting for your critique and your advice on how to study figure
P.S tommorrow I will upload the rest
@harbingerofIllRepute Thank you I took a look at your sketchbook and man you are pretty talented and I am not sure I am gonna keep it up I was depressed with my life drawing
so any critiques or any advice about how to study figure drawing ? I am open to all your opinions
Talent has almost nothing to do with it, about 10% of what I do involves talent.
One part of improving in my experience is hyping yourself up to the challenges of learning, for example I used to think of art as power, the more techniques I acquired the more powerful I'd become. The rest is dedication and surrounding yourself with art, it could be music, it could be anything so long as you immerse yourself in it. Drawing inspiration from multiple outlets keeps your skills from becoming stagnant, even when you're not studying.
I was in the same boat about a year ago, my advice... find your creative clitoris. It sounds funny and gross, but it is true. Find something that stimulates your imagination and just go from there, even if you need to use crutches.
@HarbingerofIllRepute Thank you for these kind words
well the reason that I didn't post for a long time is that I was trying to work from andrew loomis' book and failed miserably then became disappointed and stopped drawing for couple of days please can anyone tell me how can I work with them ???
Which Loomis book are you using? Are you trying to work from "Fun With A Pencil?" If not, try that one.
If you are... just try to slow down and draw the very basics... slowly.
Try to be as accurate as possible, and try to understand the shapes you're putting down. It takes a lot of practice... a lot more than people realize... many many months and years of work... and it keeps going.
Try not to think about the outline of the people you are drawing... try to see everything as made up of simple squares, circles, and triangles.
Just take your pencil or pen and try your best. After a while you will see improvement.
post more stuff!!!!!
@p sage I have downloaded fun with pencil from couple of days but actually am working from Figure Drawing For All its Worth
@ dimi yeah I know I post very little stuff and they are actually awful
well I am pretty annoyed with my studies today I spent an hour for one illustration and I didn't get :@ but the good news is I have been given great advice today about how to draw figure drawing so I will put in use starting from tomorrow .
well another study of mine
study of legs from profile view and front view
you started, thats the hard part. now just keep going! make drawings you enjoy incorporating your excercises. you dont need to draw great to make nice art, remember that.
heres some ideas re the calculator
ps to flip the image in analogue mode, look through the back of the paper

Keep doing those studies and don't feel discouraged if they don't look like what you expect them to. The key is to keep drawing! I don't have it on my SB here, but on my physical book, my first few pages were really horrible. But I kept working at it and am improving everyday. I think your leg studies are coming along great!
One tip would be before you start drawing, to look at your subject/object/whatever you are drawing more closely. Don't get caught up on the details just yet. Look at what it looks like as a whole. Understand the object. Then draw. Start from the 'big picture' then go into the details later. Doing this has helped me to better interpret what I'm seeing.
I find that Ctrl+Paint has really good tips for starting out drawing. It helped me a lot!
Keep drawing! I'll be watching.
Hey, the only real option is to keep drawing and not give up. Drawing can be an extremely frustrating and hard experience. It needs patience and persistence, just keep doing your studies, and make sure you take it slow and observe carefully, at this point in your development, taking the time to get everything perfect would help more than rushing through things and not getting anything right. Keep practicing.
@Velocity Kendall : Thank you for your great advises really I think the analogue thing will help me
@FalconessN of course I will keep going and waiting for your reviews
@Psychobuddy yeah my only option is to keep going and you were right today I was really frustrated with my study of arms :@ drawing can really be frustrating !!!
oh finally concept art is back !!!!!!!!!!!!! will be posting new drawings soon
it's nice to see you being back, too
show us your recent work and never give up
One of the reason the arms look weird, is because you're just drawing an outline, try to work in some of the anatomy landmarks on the inner part not just an outline. Also try not to exaggerate the curves you're using to draw he actual outline, it throws of the structure of the actual arm. Anyway like I said, just keep working, it'll pay off!
Loomis studies and tutorials from Idrawgirls will help a lot! I have too been studying anatomy and it's not as easy as it looks. It takes year of practise and painting and drawing also takes years of training practise and hard work. Just try to study from life and you'll excel! Look at my sketchbook I have been drawing for about a year now and I am no where near what I wanted to be. But it all takes time and patience Keep pushing and keep drawing!
I am sorry that I have not posted any pictures actually for my dismay I didn't do any drawings because of exams I am a senior student so I am preparing things for college and stuff . my last exam will be on December 1st so after that hopefully I will get on track
well couple of days before I motivated myself to go back to drawing after finishing my exams , and as I expected my drawing is AWFUL anyway hopefully I will be able to go from miserable to bad and then from bad to good and all they way up I am just drawing 15 min.s a day and will work my way up I want to make it a habit to draw everyday not end up giving up for months like last time so here is what I draw the last days
