Well my computer is about fried and is locking up. My goal for my first chow was to only enter/complete the brief and learn something.
My character is Hell Fairy; outcast from general society most of the time, she was invited by the King as he is fond of her. She spends her time at the party luring victims onto the balcony and slaughtering them, using their blood as dye for her gown.
I dont think she will be invited again.
character sheet and silhouette sheet to follow.

nice bio, PITCHBLACK , I've got a bit of a controversial guest as well, she will probably not be invited back either.
ok I've made some last changes to the final and replaced the character sheet.
character: "Ambassador of the Sea".
As the invitation to the masquerade went out to the various fabled blooded kingdoms of the world, one was sent out to the midst of the deep seas by bottle, not being sure of how else to deliver it to the peoples of the sea. The fabled people of the lands of the hosting kingdom knew as little of the deep seas as any man.
The knowledge of fable peoples of the deep seas was little above mythdom much like that of men.
Whether the invitation reached any fable blood kingdoms of the seas wasn't really sure as no sea people seemed to show up at the event even though it was held by a river flowing to the sea.
Only an elven far sea islander showed up with a discrete presence at the party. Standing in the corners, seeming bored, holding only a glass of some drink that hardly looked as clear or colourful as the wines, the crescent-moonshine or the various potion punches. (...the dwarves though knew when they see an extra properly murky meed or ale.)
However the question would soon be answered when the shy guest would offer her tonic to the celebrated monarch, explaining that it was brought as a token of regards from the people of the sea.
The monarch being pleased that the missing invitation seemed to have met the addressed had a taste and immediately broke the festive ambience as she spat it all out, coughing and cursing (with well mannered cuss words).
"Why this is... what is this!? It tastes like dirty old sea water! It's not even clean!"
The islander replied: "Why yes. This is what the peoples of the sea drink every day."
The queen not knowing how to measure this as insolence was mild but resolute as she banned the islander from the masquerade.
this was a blast! good luck everyone!

Cool stuff guys! Here's my entry, I don't have time to do a real front back right now so if this entry doesn't count it's my fault sorry, but there's some wips here.
This was really fun, I tried to imagine a little guy with a huge ego and a bit of a superiority complex. hope it comes across in his expression. The costume was also fun to design especially inventing a masquerade mask that would fit his big goblin nose
Here's my masquerade party goblin with a plague doctor style mask!
Good job guys! Here's mine, I'm proud of myself for actually finishing it!
Everyone's entries look great so far Here's my character - a female faun all dressed up at the royal masquerade party.
while everyone's having fun she has different plans, apparently some one wants the new monarch not among the living... who's gonna suspect a gnome right?
colors got all messed up so I left it B&W
Hey guys this is my first chow entry, I meant to enter the other one but ran out of time. My character is supposed to be a drow queen kinda character going to an upland masquerade, tried to imagine what their fashion would look like.
Ix'Chel is the ambassador to the local mindflayer faction. She never leaves without Lola, her loyal beholder secretary. Lola serves as a translator, as it is difficult to speak other languages when one is made out of tentacles. ck’yarnak ehye
Ix'Chel was invited to meet the new king, but seems more concerned with socializing. And devouring a brain or two when no one is looking.
This was a lot of fun!
Just a drunk satyr who probably wasn't even invited.
Well, I had to rush the finish of this, so its not as good as I would have liked it. I also dont have time for a character sheet, gotta help install some windows on the house....Actual windows, not the OS.
Good luck all. Hope I can do better for the next one.
here's my entry
Far from finished. But I don't have neither time nor skill to be satisfied with the result.
Once again, great work everyone!
Woah, this was a tough one, yet sadistically fun. Good work mates!
Going to a masquerade when youíre a handsome orc ainít all easy potatoes. Nekron Sweetlips didnít know this before he attended one. Heís been mistaken for quite a few unflattering things during the night, and all he really wanted to be was an iced out and immensely tasty cake.
Having secured an invitation to the heavily guarded Royal Masquerade, the infamous Cat Burglar Sochana (by day, the respectable Lisette of House Chatelaine) decided to attend the event disguised as none other than herself. Though several attendees have garbed themselves after the varied legends of her ignoble personage, the others all leave out the most important detail.
I swore I was going to do something other than attractive females this time, but... poofy dresses Next time.
Alright, coming >_<
OMG TIME TIME TIME *goes White Rabbit* AAAAAAAAH
@ETA : ....phew. I'm.... exhausted.
I'm happy with the result, although improvements improvements always improvements.
Gotta work harder next time!
The ambassador of the forest was invited-- present.
For the nature needed no masks to hide itself,
as a tree offers no cover other than its own.
Nevertheless, they bow and adhere to the rule.
For as the water demands obedience to its movement,
and the wind flies according to no one but its whim;
a kingdom had its own rules.
Under a particular form for this joyous occasion
With gifts of the earth wrapped around;
feeling each and every life,
bathed in joy;
Nature is watching.
And for the char sketches, they are attached

Here's my entry for the fantasy masquerade.
This dwarf lady does not care for the usual frilly dresses favored by the upper crest but by golly, she loves a good ball. So with her dragon wings and a borrowed face she is ready to get the party started.
nice entries everyone, and here is my lovely participant
Stop wanting and start doing
