Hi my name is Axel.
I'm 17 years old.
I go to a sort of artsy school, but I'm not too impressed with it. So I try to draw as much as possible in other classes whilst the teacher isn't looking.
Would be cool if you guys gave me some advices, but I know I should draw more full bodies and from references. About 99,5 percent of this is from head.
I'll be back with the dump from the last 2 years in a bit.

I have about 600 scanned pages of art from the last 2 years, but I couldn't be bothered to post it all. I'll upload some highlights and then continue with recent stuff:
how many pictures can this attachment tool handle btw? It crashed.
From this semester...
maybe one more
That's it for now! What do you think?
I've found that the Macbook has an excellent texture to draw on. The inner side is rough and paper-like, but very forgiving. One can just erase bad parts with the finger and draw on top. The utter surface isn't that good, but it's even more spontaneous I guess..
Some digitals. The last two are from today, while the others are about 2 months old. Any thoughts?

what has been done this week
I love the fact that you posted everything you've drawn on school tests and papers! And being norwegian I understand them
With that being said, I think you have a really unique style to your drawings. Keep it up!
Freeware program called MyPaint, check it!
So much interesting stuff so far, I hope you keep on posting because I want to see how that style of yours develops.
First thing's first; I love the faces, nice linework too. I think you ought to studies bodies a bit more though, just to help them catch up, with an increased knowledge of bodies you'll be able to stylise them even better.
Anyways, keep up the good work!
These are cool =) Very artsy, and I feel the youthfulness in them. Its nice that you do them on test papers, might be cool to see them a little bit more polished and finished looking with colours? Watercolour, or paint?? Maybe you've been doing that though! I don't know, so show us!!! It would be awsommmeeee to see these all graphic and colourful.
Espaul - Oh noes. I didn't expect people to read those dirty secrets :o
asa - Thank you!
Naidy - Thanks. Yeah them bodies definitely need to catch up.
Pamz1e - Thank you. I did a watercolour interior thing just recently and it failed miserably, so I'll just stay away from that a bit.
sketches from last days.
Still suffering from severe comfortzoniness. Not good.
Nice work! I like the graphical style you have, but it's hard to see when it's all squeezed in between homework and school handouts. Try carrying a sketchbook or some unlined paper with you to draw on.
gah, that PS invironment is so weak. I'll work on that
^ Really like that last bunch of heads / faces there.
Welcome to CA.org. It looks like you're still developing a style (which'll always be the case), so at this stage, keep trying things and keep opening up avenues for yourself to decide to explore further later. You can see you're learning a lot about what you want to do within these illustrations here.
btw, I really like this one:
Something about it just feels really neat, composition, colour and subject matter wise.
these sketches are so nice
you should definitely get a sketchbook and draw in there instead on random papers
that way you will be able to store them
it would be a shame to throw the drawings away when you no longer need the paper you are now drawing on
keep them coming
BlightedArt - Thank you. Yeah I'm just drawing a lot of nonsense to build that visual library really. I think, as you say, doing a lot of diverse stuff is probably the best tip ever.
asa - ^^ yeah, but I'm afraid of sketchbooks. It's much easer to draw when somebody else has taken the papers virginity already, and I have this huge pile of papers in my closet where I store the drawing anyway so they wont be thrown away.
wow, i like this a lot! Eventhough a blanc page can be scary at times i would still recommend a sketchbook tho. You can always collect different types of paper or collages to paste in it before you start, or just paint some spots and then start from there. I really think that once you make a habbit out of it you will explore more and improve your work.
But i really love this sketchbook so far, keep up the great work man
NickyBeats - Thanks dood
Lav - yeah, perhaps. Thank you
I just learned to do open mouths
NickyBeats - Hah, it's true though
Lav - Digging that you're digging
I'm tired of this particular style that is going on. Need some fresh input.
keep it coming!
I like how you draw on paper than isn't designated for drawing! Makes it seem like you're drawing instead of doing assignments or whatever, i like that!! I really like this one, on the right. Nice shapes!
