Cramp's Portfolio (Feedback/criticism would be appreciated!)
This is the portfolio I just submitted to CCAD. I'm hoping to be majoring in illustration!
To be perfectly honest, I'm a little nervous posting it, because I don't feel like my art is at the level of most of the artists here! But that's why I'm here in the first place - to get some really honest criticism and learn from it.
Right now I'm aiming at getting my art to look a little more professional, polished, and mature, but I'm not quite sure how to go about doing that, so any pointers would really be appreciated! I feel like I'm sort of stuck at a point where I'm just doing "drawings," not "pieces," if that makes any sense.
They also required some unfinished sketches/rough work/drafts, but I'm not sure if this thread is the right place to put that kind of thing.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Thanks for your reply! I think I know what you mean about the subject matter being amateurish. Three of the four were commissions for relatively young people and one is technically fanart . . . >.< Probably not the best starting point, but they were the only digital pieces I had that I felt were of enough quality.
Hopefully this summer I'll be able to build up a body of work with more mature subject matter!
