I'm a art student/junior artist majoring in illustration. After a long time lurking on conceptart.org i've finally decided to open a sketchbook thread. I hope that i can keep uploading my sketches regularly and receive c&c from everyone so that i can constantly improve my skills and art senses.
Thank you all for viewing! Here are some anatomy/figure sketches i did from both imagination and observation.
a speedie i did today on photoshop. Sorta experiment with all sort of custom brushes i found online, forms and color mood. The idea is simple, giant war machines like war of the worlds. Took about 1:30h to do this.
I agree with takashmen good start
thanks for the c&c everyone ! I did a quick change for color mood n add more for the environment.
quick speedie i did today. Still have alot to work on.
Looking very good. Values are reading well on the speedpaintings, but there are a couple tangents or near tangents (spots where elements touch instead of overlapping, which hurts the illusion of depth in a painting) that you might want to watch out for.
Oo, i will try to address that. I think its my brush strokes which is still very messy >.<.
Heres an attempt with 3 point perspective.
Nice gestures, I wanna see more!
