That last portrait is very good and expressive.
What was the medium?
SashaDevi : thanks a lot, I´ve used just "standard" paper and mentioned pencils... nothing special...
just another training face, 1 hour ish, some photo reference used...
I´m afraid that there is no progress in my work, I have to try it more often, work harder...or maybe I´m too lazy...

Wow, great mood in that last enviro! The palette is spot on, I'd push the values a bit more in the darks but it's really cool
"Great job guys! I love you. You're fired."
Sketchbook! Me vs Anatomy (and other things)
Hey ya Jablar! Thank for coming to my SB. Good to se that you are also doing pretty well.
Man, i liked the mood you put on your enviroments, specially on the more recent ones. On thing i would say is to try some colors on your shadows, because it is very hard to really find "Black" shadows in nature, because light bounces everywhere, etc. You already did domething about it on you post #68 with that cool color on the shadow side. By the way, you approach seems to be very effective, it seems that you are not struggling that much to reach some results. Keep it up dude!
Hey Jablar your colors are great! I really dig the environments you posted, so interesting
I saw a few weeks back you were saying you feel like you're not making much progress... a good thing to do when you get into that funk is to try redoing something you did a few months or a year ago. It can feel like a slog sometimes, and having a direct side-by-side comparison showing that you're getting somewhere can be motivating as hell.
You have some nice things going on in some of your face studies. What might help is stepping back from full studies for a bit and doing some work on facial planes and general structure, as well as the structure of the individual features. (Have you seen these videos? If not, they're great.) You're also making some progress on the environment front, and I like what you're doing with the colours. Try studying composition a little, just the basic rules, or do a refresher if you're solid on them already - some of the environments have good ideas hampered by awkward compositions.
Keep at it! You're doing good. =D
Revidescent - thanks, good tip, next time I´ll try to redo some old work...
Here is some update after a long time, I had some issue with my eyes, but I hope it´s finaly behind me...
no big deal, just girls sketches...
