I've been reading recently some news about the upcoming Photoshop CS6 and I don't really like the direction Adobe is taking this awesome piece of software.
Here are a couple of links to read:
Tell me, what you think about it at first glance?
My attention span was too short to watch the videos.
I'm a CS3 user at the moment. I downloaded the demo of CS5 and, honestly, there wasn't anything there worth paying for. Yes, I'm using a 64-bit operating system, but I really didn't feel the difference (not that I use filters on huge images, which is where you see performance jumps, I guess). The much-touted content-aware fills worked okay for most of the time, but weren't exactly miracles.
I have this gut feeling Adobe is having trouble coming up with miracles worth paying for, which may be why they're moving toward a subscription service.
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).
