You kids with your fancy "cameras" and "scanners"... Back in MY day we took pictures of our art with cell phones! So there. (I solemnly swear to get professional photos taken of all my work once I can afford it.)
Anyhoo, here are a few things I've been doing in school. Some are finished works, some are sketches. Us third year students just started working with full palettes! Yay for HIGH CHROMA!
Critiques are encouraged, but please be gentle. I'm still a student, after all.
In order from top:
"Old school: Blue" oil on canvas, approx. 6 x 4" 2012.
Mastercopy after Velazquez, "Coronation of the Virgin" Detail, oil on linen, 16 x 20" 2012.
"Two Week Figure Study" charcoal, 18 x 24", 2012
"Bowl Sketch" oil on linen, approx 5 x 7", 2012.
Our current figure painting at school, underpainting stage. I'll post the finished one in two weeks!
