Charlie R. Faerber
Big page o crap XD
TheGnoll - Thanks heaps for the compliments and suggestions. Right now I am living in London yes, though, I'm not working anywhere, I recently quit my job and now I lurk, dabble in personal projects and try to find a way to get to the states.
merl1n - Cheers mangalang!
Nimhea - Thanks a bunch!
kevin_ - Why, thank you!
Somelar - Cheers mate
Zesiul - Thank you very much for the kind words, I'm humbled.
CR Faerber - Oh thanks!!
Adding a quick sketch of the teacher on the blackboard is a cute little meta detail to add.
I think it's quite a good likeness you've done well to capture the character in the face.
Edit: Ah well I see you've done quite a bit more after the piece of was referring to http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...5&d=1329614765
Your SB is a fantastic experimentation of your art, there's so much versatility done so well in it, great piece of inspiration and artistic skill.
I think more than anything I'd just like to see where your broad style moves to, it's hard to say at this point, and i think that's what makes it so exciting haha
felt like singing "mcdonald..i'm loving it!" while looking through the pages here
some works have this nice.. mm like sorta vintage feeling
I like the salaryman-esque sketches. Are you too using sketchbook pro? The likeness is staggering! and it's good!
Chompi'n - Thanks dood, I do try to go for some vintage looks :>
viki oh - Thank you viki!
Axelga2112 - Thanks Yup, I'm using SBP
Mr.Scribbles - Thanks Dude!
Psychobuddy - Thanks a lot, must, not, slack!
Phew, I've been slacking heavily, meditating on my depression, if you will. That's the only thing I've done in like a month.

May i ask you where you get your textured brushes or how you make them? And, also where do you get these awesome references? I know some are copies of master's work. But how about the others? I'm looking for places online that are good for portrait references. Amazing work I aspire to have a similar style!

TristanFletcher - Okay let's see, brushes - I use the default photoshop brushes AND the bumskee set I stumbled upon ages ago, did a quick google search and found this thread where you can download the set http://conceptart.org/forums/showthr...skee-s-Brushes!
I don't use a blending stump, I just shade lightly with my pencil tipped sideways, I've seen some people get awesome results with a stump, if you ask me, whatever makes a good image.
Drawing masters work is the best learning method there is, people don't like doing that because they don't feel like they're 'creating something' in the process, but consider it art gym, on steroids.
refrences; deviantart.com has tons of free stock by artists for artists, but lately I just started shooting my own reference material.
llex_paul - Thx dude!
MeteorCat - Thanks, I really appreciate it
untier - Hey! Honor? not really thanks
So I think I'm officially not-so-interested in concept art and am starting to gear more towards fine art, gotta find me an atelier to join. Life's too short.
That last one is inspired by David Johnson, look him up, he blows my fucking mind.
