Hey y'all. This is my first post here, although I've lurked for what must be 5-6 years.
I'm an aspiring concept artist/illustrator/designer looking to find his place in this ridiculous industry. I feel so humbled looking around here, and I can only hope to eventually be able to throw down with the best of them.
It's been a whirlwind year. Between finishing school, working a shitty job, getting let go from said job, and having to figure out just where my artistic passions lie, 2011 sure did a number on me.
It's funny how unemployment can really motivate you to improve your artwork. In the past 3 months I've made more stuff than I probably made in all of 2011. And I couldn't be happier.
Here's some things (from newest to oldest):
Even Mario has off-days.
Some quick character sketches.
Pajama Guy to the rescue, or something.
Some 3D modeling practice.
Merry SNESmas present to a friend.
A secret Santa gift over at Pixelation
Fat Dragon concept.
Last but not least, some hipster dude.
Let me know what you think, where I can improve, and anything in between. Thanks
haha!! awesome work man!! im not sure i would lump these into concept art, more like whimsical illustration, but dont get me wrong, im glad i looked in here! awesome work! especially on the hipster... everyone knows they are waaay to cool for elbows.
