Hey Joe, all I can say is wow! Your sketchbook looks fantastic, I can see your
tenacity and your improvements. Its been sometime since I posted here though
every once in a while I drop by to see whats new. No critique from me, you
know what ur doing.
Keep it Up!!!
I'm loving the technical precision there. You've got the muscle groups down but proportion is still an issue for you. I think you need to count head heights. Most normal adults are 7.5 to 8 heads tall. Its a quick trick that could easily make big improvements in your proportion.
Again, keep up the hard work. Nice stuff.

This is great man! I am happy you are still plowing through
Love the way you are studying, is helping me want to push myself further at it as I have been lulling off quite a bit...
Striving to be the best that is possible before I conk into the grave.
My Sketchbook! Critique EVERYTHING!!
spitboi7 Hey thanks for stopping by!! Im going to try and post more now.
Finally got the time i have longed for!!! A new life awaits filled with drawing and design!!!!Studies!!!!Practicing drawing objects and shapes without a ruler, good way to get use to more straight line excersises. I filled up pages and pages of sketchbooks of lines!! lol Need more practice still
Cool sketches and studies.I particularly like the Doug Chiang studies, they came out pretty great and thanks for leaving a comment on my sb.
Kriss_Kringle Hey no porblem! Yea Doug Chiang is the man, i love his methods for creating his concepts. I feel like i know the technique but to make that stuff up from memory, i still got a long way to go
SMILEFACE Hey thanks alot for your comment!!
So some more studies!! Starting to up my workload more and more, got to keep on working on it. I was so rusty from not drawing so im breaking back into it. My brian is going through the typical levels of frustration that is required when learning new habits, hand eye cordnation, and muscle memory. Been giving a lot of guitar lessons lately to, got to get use to spacing the out better Also here is a random song i did, had some fun jumping around genres of music as usual I got it on outube, does anyone know how to post youtube videos on here
Hey Joe777k7! thanks for visitng my sketchbook man.
The mechanika studies are nice! I like the perspective studies, they definitely help along the way! What can I say, keep doing more studies, try some more referenced anatomy to compliment the figures you do from imagination!
SandyManThanks alot for the advice!!!
SMILEFACEYea i love that book!!!! Some of the coolest stuff in there!!
Finally breaking through some walls with perspective. I'm finally starting to understand how everything that exsists can be broken down to the basic shapes and this will help you be able to draw it from any angle. I basically took a phot of a truck and drew it in perspective then drew it in different angles. Lotz of fun
Cool cars and faces, i like the variation in the faces, you can really see that the perspective is helping with the mech stuff. Keep it up cant wait to see more and hope the band goes well xD
Thanks for visiting my sb too
Thanks again for dropping by every once in a while on my sketchbook, man. That truck done in different angles is pretty cool! You're obviously getting better at it.
@JaikThanks for stopping by again! Yea persepctive will be rewarding in the end. Im already seeing great results. Yea i hope the band goes well too lol
@Kriss_KringleThanks alot man! yea im a mission with understanding basic shapes!! lol
Ok so things have been looking up with drawing. Im getting better and better and the same goes with guitar. Things are great right now. SO i been taking photos of animals and translating them into 3d objects in my mind then putting that image on paper, the more i do the more advance they get. Its like im learning alot of problem solving skills in design this way. Pretty cool... So im going to keep trying that as well as my other studies.
Also some more Riven Pheonix studies, lot of my perspective studies are inspired by the work of Feng Zhu's students, amazing what they can do. Im tyring to find ways of doing the type of studies they do, if only i could just go to his school

Wow! Wicked Perspective stuff. Also, sick music too!
I really like the way you deconstructed the leopard. I hear ya about feng zhu's school, would love to attend that even for one of the 6 week courses =/
Jaik Thanks for the comment!! Yea even the 6 week course would indeed by sweet to do
tonysaurusThanks for stopping by!! Yea more to come with perspective
Rotating objects in my head and putting them on paper. Started to dive into doing this with animals and choose star wars for a subject for my perspective studies for a bit. Im basically drawing my own version of a ship from starwars then taking that design and drawing it from a few angles. Very challenging, my brian hurts lol
Wow, awesome perspective studies man, those are really impressive. I don't really have any crits, but I would like to suggest that you start doing tonal studies from life. Most of your value drawings have a limited range and very simplified lighting, and your studies from life are mostly line drawings. It's great that you're focusing so much on structure and really solidifying your understanding of three-dimensional shapes, but it'd be nice to see you start working on the other aspects of creating convincing images as well (value, color, and texture) so you have more rounded skill set. Keep up the good work!
My dear friend, I do not know about your old sketchbook, but
this one looks really good, promising and quality things are
heading in the right direction. Success ahead guaranteed, if anyone
know anything about shapes and original concepts, that is you for sure.
First degree marvelous awesomeness is developing slowly all over the
foggy graveyard ground. Coffee, tea a bit of onion and you manufacture
one more originality, green bees, faces, strange creatures and characters,
there is no limit for you, you do it all, you do it at once. You have pushed
your perspective understanding way beyond reasonable, just as Loomis
stepped on the scene. You know that Loomis was often punished as a child
to wear a dunce cap and to kneel on raw potatoes and corn seeds at the same time.
Thatís why he got so determined and harvested all that success that he did.
A few more months, and we will call you master. All of us.
Roughly boiled weed with crushed seeds, one can joke a lot and fool
around, but one thing is sure, you are no joke and your art is no
foolishness. You are serious as they come, and you are tough
like a coffin nail, such a determination in one place, I am overwhelmed
with emotions. I will be outside, crouching and watching your
amazing progress and evolution.
