Here is a sketch I'm working on here and there.
I already downloaded a buch of textures and materials for it.
Maybe I will make more versions, at least with different light since I set it up for that purpose.
First matepaint I have completed.
Done by tutorial from our school portal (the only one from which I learned something useful ).
I went further trying to develop some depth in the image. While still keepig the colors somewhat nice.
I also tried to balance values so the image isn't too dark or too bright in some places.
Tutorial it self was inspired by this work : http://artush.deviantart.com/art/Castle-107436391
I filled another page of my sketchbook today.
Here is what I drew.
I know that there are some errors but it's not that easy, to stand on one place,
having your sketchbook jamed in your elbow while all blood from your hand is running away.
Anyway, I hope that you like it.
Grayscale photo study (the photo was colored, so I had to eye out values) I have worked on this during last week...
Finished grayscale version just now. I plan to color it.
I havent color picked, traced or anything like that. Took bunch of time just to get everything right.
Huge thanks goes to my Loved girlfriend Zuzana, thank you !
(I see some issues with the Eyelid, will fix it before coloring)
Nice sketchbook christopher! In that last painting I feel like the area around the eye is too soft making it almost feel like the eye is floating. I think just slightly sharper edges in that area will make it look better. I look forward for more!
personally, i think you did good with the eye, as fantasyartist said, maybe the edge is a bit too soft at parts, but I think you did a great job at getting the weight of the eyelid, and also, that the eye is not just a ball with some extruded circles on it, but a complex mechanism of parts that come together, so it's just a little tweak here and there, and it's really good.
Matte looks nice, you've got the right idea, just be even more careful with having consistent values.
Thanks very much for critiques and advices!
I Will not have much time nowdays, as there is a lot to do in the school.
Maybe I will upload some images of those works, if the quality will be good enough.
