Hi, guys! My name is Nikita. I am not bad 3dartist and i wanna learn to draw. In the future i think i will mix both 2d and 3d techniques. I am sure that every direction in art has it's benefits. I love art and want to improve communication between my imagination and painting. 3d don't gives me freedom that i wish.
So, now i drawing everything with no plans. May be later learning process will become more systematic. I only know that i need to draw and i have motivation for
Any crit and advices would be very nice.

Here are studies that i did yesterday. Stuff that i doing today i will scan and post later.
Foot and hand my own(about 10-20 mins for every drawing), then 45 posemaniacs (60 second per pose), bammes, one page from life. Fish, curly man and kid from photos.
Pepper from memory and from observation, posemaniacs (60 sec), ugly selfportrait, digital paint of apple from life, weird cylindrical objects (seems i need to practice in drawing primitives), bammes and few studies from life and photos.
Bottle of bear (i was trying to draw forms, not object), posemaniacs (still same lame that was before so i didn't scan them today), then i made two boxes from paper and spent some time drawing them.
Focused on drawing basic shapes for now.
I doing a commission, so haven't much time to draw. Here is a bunch, mostly still life. Drawing about 30-60 mins every morning.
Here are a bunch. From life and from photos.
Here are studies done in last week. Again from photos and from life:
From photos and from life as always. On this week i have tried to do few drawings on toned paper. So much fun
Hey Nikita. First off, welcome to CA. If you want to constantly practice and improve your skillset, there's no other website quite like this. Having said that, it can be quite difficult to have people commenting on your sketchbook at the very beginning. I'm glad to see you're still posting despite that, and that is the way to go. With time, people will drop by for comments and crits.
Firstly, I'd ask you to just treat your scans a bit before posting them. Their sizes are fine, but I can hardly make out the lines right now. Also, maybe posemaniacs isn't the best site for practicing figure drawing. The are other scripts (lovecastle.org/draw is one) which actually use photographs, and not those sort of stiff, mannequin-like doll figures.
I can see you're doing a whole lot of practice, and that is good. You'll be reaping dividends soon enough. Just consider trying to apply all that practice to some imaginative works when you can. It works as a good reality check on whether you're actually learning anything from those studies.
That's all from me I'm afraid. Keep drawing, and, once again, welcome to the forum!
Your still lifes are very nice! I think that you will see a lot of improvement if you keep doing what you are doing.
Posemaniacs and some drawings from life.
Wow! Didn't noticed that i have comments
Vritra, huge thanks for advices, i'll keep them in mind. I only starting and don't draw a lot, so feel myself kinda walking in the fog, without feeling where is the final destionation is... or checkpoint. Your words give me some understanding where to go.
syrella, thank you for kind words!
On this week i have focused on gesture drwaing. I used a photos of real people as Vritra adviced, also i have took a bit more time for each drawing: 2 minutes.
I have bought a sketchbook and feel myself very cool Like a real artist that stands on the top of the world with his pencil and sketchbook. I did few drawings from imagination and few from observation in it.
These weird grey heads, are zbrush screenshots. It is also studies from photos. 45 min each. I dunno. Perhaps i should start a new thread with 3d studies.
And the last picture is about 1.5h drawing from photo. Done in photoshop.
I wanna sleep, so that may be the reason i wrote strange stuff above...
Gestures every morning, some of them from life (these that starts with fat guy). Also i have done landscape studies, all from photos, ~30 min.
Gestures (90 sec per pose) and portraits (3 minutes each, excluding few, that took a bit more). Everything from photos. I have tried charcoal. Don't know what to say, it is different. And i feel a bit more comfortable to draw gestures with it.
It's getting warmer, so i wanna try to go outside to draw. It's scary )) But i feel that i should start experiencing that. I have a plan to give it a try at least once in the next week.
Few gestures done in last week. I went to railway station near me on Wednesday. I failed a lot At first i sat too far from people and it was hard to observe, than i sat a little bit closer but when start draw someone i have been always scared that he will notice and come to me to see shit i am doing. I know it's funny but still disturbs me. Anyway i am happy that i did it. Will try to go outside constantly.
Also on this week i started a photoshop drawing from imagination without references. About half our every morning, so in total about 3,5 hrs. Wanna spent on it may be one more hour, then i'll show it here.
Okay. Some kind of goblin on the cliff from imagination without refs (4 hrs). Damn, it turns out so dark. The next drawing from imagination will be definetely in daylight
Then people. Both from photos and from real life. Different amounts of time.
3hrs for flying dude from imagination O_o
And some drawings from photos and from life.
Not much to show from this week. I drew some gestures as always, but they don't worth to be scanned. Also i have made still life drawing from imagination (4 hours). Here it is:
Flowers from photos.
Gestures(2mins) and hand from photoreference.
I have tried to make drawings first from memory and after that the same object from life. First three drawings: hand, fins and man. Then going some gestures, different amounts of time (from 30 secs to 5 minutes). Also i have made three digital paints from photoreferences. About 2 hrs each.
Eyes and two portraits. First from head, second from photo. I wanna practice a bit in skin tones, because i don't feel it at all. So it will be task for next week.
Skin tone studies. All from photos about 1,5 hrs each. Weird bro at the bottom from imagination was done in 3 hrs.
Few gestures, fat people from photos. Then drawings that i did from imagination for project i am currently working on. And skin studies 1,5 hrs each.
Hands and heads. From life, photos and from imagination.
My scanner start to give weirds results from time to time. Like inverted sheet with hands and black lines. He is very old, perhaps his time has come
so Many studies! Ha ha. Very nice book so far man. I really like the paints.
Thank you on warm words, Pete!
Here is some stuff from imagination:
