jdem - thanks I plan toO!
Ok heres some random imagination stuff with a couple lttiel studies off to the right of the second page.
Also I finished my portrait for the nov1 day, doesnt count as a nov1 portrait anymore this is a continued extra thing but ye I'm happy with it, need to work on bigger canvas though cause I get frustrated witht he little details cuz I end up at single pixel level.
Tried something a bit different today. Did things in alchemy and then went from there in PS like i've seen people do. I like the emperorbot guy but ye, just an experiment, here you go
Put the done up one with the alch version together.
Bleh stuff not been working great for me recently. Heres some stuff from imagination.
Did this and thought it looked kind of ratchet & clank type art which is awesome so thought i'd post. would like to do more work like this intentionally in the future
Hello wish I had bigger update but been working on bunch of stuff but here is the previous thumb turned into final piece. Not really what I would normally do but it was interesting.
Will hopefully post more studies and stuff soon!
Lots of free space cause it's for a card for a game that will have info on sides and bottom
Hello, only a couple things again, bigger updates soon I hope Once I get into art school going to be so many updates yupyup
Again please any criticism, tips or feedback on anything in here is greatly appreciated x
Okai here is a mechagirl I did last night and an old traditional sheet on movement and energy and stuff I only got a hold of yesterday Picture is blurry but thought it'd be good to have some more traditional up.
Hey man, you're digital painting is coming along nicely and I've seen a couple of your studies and you've definitely done some really good things in them. For a crit I would suggest you focus on your drawing techniques some more. One thing that might help is practicing rendering across the forms evenly with your pencil strokes when you're shading in your pencil drawings. One of the things that's always helped me is to imagine that the figure is doused in water and the paths the water takes to fall off the body. Maybe that's too abstract but hopefully you get the picture
Keep it up bud!
Grayhouse - Thanks for the comment and feedback! That visual of the water is really helpful I like that kind of stuff, will be trying it, a lot of people have spoken about my rendering so clearly it needs looked at thank you
Hello! Here is some sketches looking at stance and feet! A kind of thing in the middle of nowhere and 2 things im working on. I'm pleased to be able to give a slightly better update.
The skull pirate thing I love, pirates are hella cool! Had a possible jungle feel but not sure it works so posting it "blank"
And a ref study which im trying to get pretty exact, doing ok so far.
Let me know what you think

Hello! Working on things today from last post. Actually spent pretty long on the girl study, the eyes mouth and nose and face are all different but barely look it for a glance
Really want to try and turn the pirate thing into a more finished piece, just trying to get me values and such still just now.
Hi guys something a little different today
Weapon design I'm happy with it. Wasnt supposed to be outlandish but the actually render i feel is an improvement on my skills
And space env
I cant get them to be polished and detailed. Dont know what it is. In the mean time there are these.
Oh hai guise.
New updates, some sketches and an environment mainly from ref I spent quite a few hours on.
Here is newest thing.
Did some other stuff but things weren't going well so just this to post
Latest thing. Always trying to make things cleaner because my stuff tends to, well, not be.
I dno, i feel this is an improvement somehow.
nice work! The enviro pieces are particularly impressive.
The only thing I noticed between page 1 and 3 (apart from improvement in literal jumps) is the line quality, and by that I mean edges. I'm having problems understanding it all myself but I think a good thing to do would be to look at where edges should be soft and where they should be harder (for example edges in darkness are softer than edges in hard light). So yeah something to keep in mind for future studies!
please visit my page and help me.
Thanks very much for the comments guys appreciate them all!
Here is new thing ive been working on. Trying to add a background just now but dunno we'll see Let me know what you think
Environment I'm working on.
I feel it's a step up on my environments. However I really want to try and make it finisheddd. So i'm repainting some of it and adding to the ship and such.
Any tips for ROCKS and FOLIAGE are greatly appreciated
some cool variety of work in here, i like alot i find it fun and interesting using the different methods of digital, how u experiment and stuff
Hey man, composition is looking good so far. As for rock and foliage I'm noticing two things. You're using the same expression (read: brush stroke) for the rocks as you are for the foliage so try mixing it up in there and adding a bit of variety in your strokes. Also remember that foliage more or less responds to light and shadow the same as rock does so adding some clumps of light and dark patches will improve it some as well. Keep it up!
A FAux - Thanks very much, appreciate it
GrayHouse - Thanks for all the helpful comments you've been giving me really really appreciate it thankyou
Here it is "finished". I know it can be taken further and I'd like to see that done but I dont think I can just now with my skill level. Hope you like it.
Sup, new paintings of today
Here is a new piece inspired by the style of the phenomenal Thomas Scholes!
I was happy painting this as I haven't "experimented" in a while but this was all knew and it was very much fun
Also a deep forge type thing in middle of nowhere I started, not sure what to do with it, any ideas?
Also i'm into drawing white figures. They stand out.
ZOMBIE FAMILY PORTRAITS! FOR EVERY SUBURBAN ZOMBIE HOUSEHOLD!
Going to be going back to portraits and sketchbook, I miss portraits and really need to practice them, let me know what you think
Here is another quick cloud env I done did along with a new sketchbook page and some older work I only very recently managed to get my hands on cause my old school was keeping hold of it
Yes the sketchbook page has the great m@'s knight on it, I love the weight in his stance and I was trying to get how it was working in my head.
heeey, pretty nice. Your paintings are good. You should try doing more life drawing, really helps with everything. Look up the book"force dynamics". This is seriously a good book for helping in gesture drawing which will affect evrything you do.
Look up preston blair, line of action on google images. Really important especially for figure and bringing life to characters. Also start looking for shapes when drawing. This isn't restricted to just cones and blocks and etc, etc. Look for bean shapes, sausge shapes circles ovals, and all that stuff. Knowing which shape to look for and use will really bring out the appeal and make things more dynamic.
This should help as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmiwGm32dXU
@bobmeatbag - Thanks so much for your post, I will look into everything you have mentioned. I have already looked at some, I very much want to get my sketches more gestural, very highly appreciated.
@bdouah - Thanks very much, keep working I shall
Today I did a quick repaint of one of my first digital piece back when I was still using a mouse, less crazy saturated areas and better shapes and such.
