It seems every time I post I think i've come to some new revelation in what everything all means and what I should be doing aha. So lately i've been struggling with my brush strokes and generally the surface the way I seemed to paint created, so I have a bunch of studies and stuff here just trying to figure it out. I seem to spent a lot of time trying to figure everything out in my head about where I want to go and whats wrong but I should probably just paint more and it would sort itself out, trying to get back into a habit of doing more little paintings and sketches, i've kind of gotten into this bad thing where when I start something in ps i feel it has to be god damn sweet best thing finished illustration ever. Feeling positive though moving forward
- Sci-fi city paintingz
- Jaime Jones little section of painting hes so good
- chicks chicks chicks
Great work, Sean. Your environments are so fucking sweet, that lighting you manage to create is awesome. Also the Anthony Jones-style work is very solid. Can't wait to see more characters of yours.
Instead of thinking about painting, sit down and do it. You'll get in the mood and find your flow.
This is a bloody amazing sketchbook thread Sean, the work is just stunning. Beautifully drawn and the lighting is so spot on! I couldn't resist going back to the beginning and observing your progress from 2011, great work man.
Loving your studies. It reminds me to keep working on my own. Thanks man!
Thank you all for the kind words really appreciate it!
Been doing more studies and environment stuff, practicing faces too. Anyway here is stuffz.

Some linedoodle stuff i like making up contemperary fashion design nohomo and architectural city piece, very different to what I normally do i'm looking a lot into perspective, hard surface and interiors just now.
Boy are you going places! Very good sb, all around. I've no critiques, just keep doing what you know you have to do I see direction and drive in you, you'll be really good in no time.
Yo CA, site been down for quite some time but now iz back and here is a rough, small update of things I done paintz this hur last couple munthzz. Been slacking a bit but I think things are moving forwards over all. Need lots more studies, alwaysss.

Love it !
Keep this awesome work up
great stuff man!! you have a great grasp of lighting, edges and values! i'd say just keep working on drawing more. not so much rendering or hatching but just straight up line work- correct structure, proportion, etc- without values to help you delineate form. check out animation drawings, they capture all of these things without the use of value, it's quite amazing. other than that, your paintings look kickass!
wow my fellow scot, first time i've been here. You are an inspiration!
