Narcism Project week 2!
You can join in on the fun @ https://www.facebook.com/NarcismProject
or on Instagram @narcismproject
Still need supporters and artist who are willing to do a portrait of one of the followers. Maybe as a morning warmup sketch, a study or something. Just for fun and getting your art out there and making people happy.

Week 3 of the Narcism Project. First set up, 1,5h in. From one of the followers on IG.
Finished week 3 for the narcism project.
Good fun, had hopper in my mind while doing this. Dunno if it comes through but i kinda like the outcome. maybe i did a bit to much with the soft brush and she got a bit plastified.
Working on narcism project week 5.
I think it is comming along nicely.
finished it up, dont have time to flesh it out.
If your interested in helping out on the narcism project you can join it on FB @ https://www.facebook.com/NarcismProject
It just for fun to get a platform between artist and potential clients.
Followers can post a picture on the Narcisme wall and the artist can pick one to make the portrait. it's all digital and the follower will only get the digital work that is posted on FB. the artist can however give the high-rez to the person who is portraited. Well if your up for it send me a message on FB, you'll get to do the next one.
Test driving my new system (Fx8150,32GB,256SSD) and CS6 with some dual brushes.
Lemme know what you think.
@ Pseudo-Me Thanks for the C&C. Yeah life studies would be nice to do, to get some color in. Been thinking of creating a personal photo ref with portrait pictures from people i know to get some life in there.
Below sunday morning doodle to get some brush exploration.
Some imagination head, don't really know what to do with it, but i did it anyway. Was bored and didn't have any concentration for today. To much going on with applying for jobs and what not. 2 hour doodle.
I'd definitely second what was said above and recommend doing some studies from life as well as photos! The way that colours and lighting appear in photos can lie to you, and drawing/painting from real life can help you understand how things get changed in photos so you can adjust for that when you're working from reference like you tend to. And even if you can't find people to paint from life, that doesn't mean you can't do still lifes or landscapes from life!
Amarok: thanx for the crits. Although I'M not sure if I want to go the fantasy-realism route that's popular on the forums here.
That said, I.still.could.do. With Some studies from life. I even got me an field easel to go out and do it.
I'm still looking around trying to find what to do with digital painting from a contemporary perspective.
Until it comes to me I tend to play around in realism to explore the medium and its possibilities.
Maybe some better master studies combined with personal photo's would work.
Took me long enough from a bad taken picture, but got it finished.
got the flu. A good time to use the down time to try some other stuff.
what sarcasm?! Thnx for dropping a line mecha.
Some new things i'm fooling around with.
I like these new studies you busted out since the last post. Especially the way the paint suggests with giving to much detail. It's awesome the way you use black without messing up the colors/balance of movement. It's more than just a way to shade the work. Wonder if this is from a photo or real, or what?
Hey Cout<Mecha Welcome back thanks for the reply.
It's from photo ref, but i worked it away from the photo and out the photo away after the initiual set up. Thats why there is more life and better color choices. I never use black, to avoid lifelessness.
In case of the fighters i used black on their trowsers to amplify the contrast to there gloves. This also gives more attention to the triangle they form.
Thanks again for stopping by, much appreciated.
A digital remake form a painting i did 2 years ago in oil.
Kinda happy with it i just need some more oompffh in the surroundings.
Wow! Beautiful style. The brushwork is really interesting. Both pencil and digital painting are so personal! Great drawings!

@Lucarky: Thanks for dropping a line. What is art if not personal, but it shouldn't stop there.
Here are some latest studies for my brane series. All done in PS.
