I find some video on youtube how to paint lips.
So i just tried it out.
try to learn form in a random way ;D
my friend was trying to learn the basic how to make i portrait. I dont think i did a good job ;D
Find som video at youtube.....
mask from a ref pic of me.
Thanks alot azimuth ;D just ask they gonna tell you yes ! ;D
next step I picked out the 3 that I lika most and refined them a little.
Robocop dude and smoking cigar dog are by-far my favorites. But I also like Character Design #2, something about that black/blue combo is just snazzy.
Thanks alot man! ;D
You did a really good job on that self portrait on post #57! Keep up the good work.
I think you should be studying Loomis and Bridgeman. Master what Loomis talks about in successful Drawing and Fun With a Pencil and his Figure Drawing book. Learn the fundamentals of art and learn anatomy. Until you learn the basics you work from imagination won't look right.
Btw thanks vertical for your comment! I know that i have to practice much fundamental skills but i like do some free stuff beside ! ;D
trying out line weight no good result then but anyway ;D
Looking good! I definitely see some improvements. Your digital skills have definitely improved. I'd like to see some studies though, especially of the muscle structure, and try doing some gestures too! Like 10 a day or something, they'll really help. Keep it up!
Thanks alot LuckyCharm! I should practice more on gestures and alot of anatomy of course ;D And other studies too. Thanks!
painting cover of the book
Besides studying anatomy, I think you're work would benefit a lot if you pushed the contrast/values. Your portraits tend to be made up of very similar shades of grey with no white or black.
wao, I can see the marvelous improvement! nice stuff
can't wait to see more future works.
