First of all, thank you for visiting my sketchbook!
My name's Natasha, I'm 18. I live in Moscow, and I don't know any artists around here, so I decided to make a sketchbook on CA to get the C&C that I need
Please please please criticize, comment and judge my work as much as you can! And I will be forever thankful for it! And hopefully it'll get me off my lazy butt to improve ..

Here we go...
Some crap studies that I did over the last few days. Haven't drawn in a while =/
Didn't do much today, but I think I learned something new from doing the portrait study, used some new texture brushes. And the back muscle studies were useful, 'cept I'm not sure how to apply that to drawing the back with the skin on it..so I'll do more of those. Loads more. And I also did some people studies with a marker pen, to try and make my outlines better...going to to lots and lots and lots more of those too..
Oh and sorry for the bad photos! I don't have a scanner =/
Just a small update today - some sketches that I colored in PS =D haven't done that in forever, so I'm really happy I actually did them! I kept starting something, then abandoning it because it looked like crap
Critique, please? Anyone? Anyone at all?!
Hi Natasha, Thanks for visiting my sketchbook and offering a good word! Thought I'd return the favor by seeing what you're up to.
I really think you're doing quite well with the portraits. Without seeing the originals it looks like you're getting a good likeness. You're studies are quite rough...but it looks like you'll have the ability to soften that up if you choose to.
It's good to see you doing anatomy studies...as you say doing "loads" more of those is the way to improve!
You're doing very well for someone so young...if you keep at it you could be very very good!
I'm in absolutely no position to critic - me learning myself - but I can say that your work so far is awesome! The portraits are phenomenal, the textures are great. keep it up. I'll subscribe.
It might be kind of cool if you did some full-body portraits.
I like the first portrait on #2 a lot. It feels like you captured a lot of the man's personality and movement.
And here's my sketchbook. Help me out with some c&c?
Oooh! Comments! Awesome =D
Jephyr X, thanks for visiting! And thank you for the encouragement! I really hope I'll have the patience to push myself further
lupodirosso, I'll definitely keep it up now that you're subscribing haha =P
eclectic rhapsody, I actually did a couple of full body portraits and I'm posting those right now
Both of these were done from imagination, I got tired of drawing when I got to the bottom of the picture of the girl, and I've been told that the guy looks too womanly..eh, well at least I sort of finished these! It's really hard for me to finish drawings, I don't even know why. I guess it's a sort of mental block
hi there ^^
your portraits have such a nice painterly quality to them. I especially like the last one in your second post. Nice work
cheeseyshay, thank you for the kind words =) that's the one i worked most on
here's a wip I'm working on right now...
give me some advice on it!
A study from the beginning of this clip from "The Dame of Spades" by Tchaikovsky. We're studying the opera in musical literature right now, and I love the main character in the movie-opera =D he's so dark and scary,crazy... and his eyebrows are so expressive! And the second is the finished version of the previous wip...I realize it's not completely finished, but I can't work on it no more. Better start something new. And do some studies. Right

Hi lovely stuff! I like the colors and the portrait studies.
Hello Violin lady!
Studies are looking solid, especially this one - http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1310403962
Some proportions are off (e.g- the one I liked has some problems too, look how the distances of the eyes from the bridge of the nose are different).
More studies should fix it! Anyway, you haven't been very active lately, hope you didn't lose your motivation to draw
very good stuff! I think that you'll become a very good and creative artist if you keep this up! I agree with Kerah, I think that studying some anatomy wouldn't hurt!
