Hey everyone! I've been totally lame the last 6 or so months in terms of updating this place.
First up! Sketches. This is going to be a monster dump. most of these are super fast, low quality bits. But I learnt a lot from them.
Now for the concept art. and other such things.
This stuff backdates to when i stopped updating here. So, I'll do by best to upload them in a date order.
And finally, illustrations.
I have so much more! But it's best to save it for now.
Cool anatomy and volume, great designs, i want see more)
Great stuff! total fan of the droid fantasy guy. But i'm a sucker for that kind of mix between hi- and lo-tech
Great sketchbook, keep us updated more! I really like your value control and brushwork. If I were to offer any advice, it would be to check the structural integrity of your subject often. Things kind of get wompy on the edges, especially faces. Flip that canvas often and in every direction.
wtf! you got really good when you hit post 32. did you hide under a rock and just paint or what?
These are really great. All your stuff is not just interesting but fun to look at. Awesome energy and ideas you've got going, here. Nice digipaint technique.
AztcFireFlower Thanks! I always pray my work has some sort of narrative and interest, opposed to just being another attempt at something cool.
PITCHBLACK Hahaha! Art level up, that's all.
CKLamb Yeah man, great advice. It's something I really have been keeping an eye out for lately. I'm getting there, slowly. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.
W1r3d Me too! Mixing influences always has good results. Thanks for visiting.
seungy Thanks dude! I still feel like a super noob, so that's nice to hear.
Artezianin Thanks man.
Been playing a lot of Metro 2033 lately, plus I realise environments are my weak spot. I've never done anything like this, so, 2 hour metro scribble!
I loveeee the facebook skull! haha
your designs are really solid too, at the rate you are going I'm sure you'll see some huge improvements soon enough
This is a devouring Grub Snatcher. He lurks on the bottom of the ground, attracting in smaller creatures with his vibrant red tongue. Little do they know, it's covered in a sticky gel. Once trapped, the grub snatcher begins to pick away at their flesh with his two pincers.
The exoskeleton resembles the corpse of a different creature entirely. In this world, many creatures have evolved this corpse camouflage as a means of deception.
Dude bro man, it's looking good, figured I'd drop some critique here, take it or leave it.
If you do take it, take it with a grain of salt.
It feels a bit like your rushing yourself, I don't know if you put yourself on a time limit on it
but if so, I don't think that's the right thing for you to do right now, i'd say, push yourself as
far and as long as possible on your pieces to get them to a more finished level. For this one
the lineart's showing through in a lot of places and it's giving it a pretty rough feeling, i'd
also say that you should try to work on the sharpness a bit, especially at the edges,
and push your textures bro, if it's slimy, express that more, is it dry? Use some stronger textures.
What I'm saying is, more textures, you're using them a bit too subtly right now,
In my opinion of course.
Look at this for some reference of sharpness and shit, http://cryptcrawler.deviantart.com/a...F4278841&qo=10
Since the subject matter is kind of maybe similar imo.
So you know.. yeah. Talk to me on skype.
Oh and shit, I forgot to mention, I think you should decrease the blur on the tail to show more of the concept,
how the stinger is attached and shit.
Wow man great rendering skills and sense of color and form! I think i saw your entry in the teen challenge am i correct?
Help me improve!
Great studies! A good mix between digital and traditional media!
Keep it up!

hey man, i love the way you handle your skintones especially in your portraits. You have to make your sketches a little bit tighter though.
In need of crticisms...

Whoa so much has happened since my last update! I work at Atomhawk now as a Junior Artist; snatti forced me to update as I owe him pizza. But it's no big deal, I really should invest more into this site, you bunch of lovelies.
There's some real nice comments here, thank you all for the kind words and encouragement, I'll try harder not to be such a butt at updating. The new site's looking fresh.
Man I've got so much to show! But I can't. This is a tiny tiny fraction of work from the last 3 months; I can't wait to see were I land this time next year. I'm really busting my ass trying to get my skills up, the more I learn the more I realize I don't know. It's painful and exciting and rewarding all at once.
Some pre-work concepts for fun. Might take these further.
