here's something i love to draw, chairs and furniture stuff.
Please don't mind the perspective errors, it's not meant to be perfect in this way
I would tell you at moment, do many many studies from life and from photos. Try really to observe what you see. MEasure the proportions and keep a close look to forms. If you have printed references, draw lines into them to analyze them more. And then draw it. Because at moment, you use some symbolic way of drawing. You draw the body parts like they have different weights of importance. For example, the woman in post #58 has very small feet. That may be because feet have not the same importance like the face.
And start using some anatomy books to become a feeling of the things happening under the surface of the skin. To know what is there will help you to see the little signs of it.
Well, it's still good, to do some drawings from imagination to apply what you learned, but gain new knowledge is very important too
Valyavande - Thank you for your comment and tips! The fact is that i have a huge difficult to draw from observation, cause i got no patience for this. These days I have been very busy, so i did only drawings from imagination, wich is faster and easier for me. But i'll soon get to some heavy exercises, from observation and anatomy references, for sure! Thak you so much for commenting here again, and telling me what you really think, this helps a lot : )
today i tried something more dynamic, from a chair in perspective...
today i did some faces, half observation half imagination. I mean, from observation i tried to understand the volume on the cheeks, an other parts of the face. But it's overall from imagination. a bit confusing I know.
Nice pics. I use to draw from a phot than trace it and put it over my sketch to see where i went wrong. Good stuff man keep at it.
Mitze - thanks man!
update = )
Heya! Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook.
Your last few studies are looking pretty good! I'd maybe suggest pushing the values a little harder, make 'em a bit less vague, but other than that... Good work!
Thank you Clur, you're very talented! By saying values you mean lighting?
Your drawing accuracy seems pretty good. Try to focus more on what marks you put on the paper. Have a look at artists on here to see how they put marks down, and why. Try to figure out the best possible way to draw something, to not only be accurate, but also skillful.
FraserScT - Thanks man! By saying marks you mean lines? sorry, I'm very weak on the english language =/
today I tried to do the lighting values harder, tell me what you think!
feet and hands
Now, back to the digitals
legs, digital...I think it's time to try something with colors..

today's try using corel painter 11 - maybe i'll paint it tomorrow.

The painting continues, I did a new face and it still no good ....time to move on
Today i tried something i never did, landscape...still a wip!
I started a new drawing today. First of all, i downloaded a chair and rendered it on sketchup using kerkythea. Then i worked over it on painter. Tomorow I'll begin drawing someone sitting on the chair.
The rendered image and the drawing:
Update - I did a correction of the lighting on the chair..
Well, i'm having some issues with my tablet, apparently windows xp is not recognizing it well and I simply can't uninstall the previous drives, wich isn't from my tablet ¬¬
So today i'm going to show you, some images from an anime I'm making.
Hello everybody, an update on this one!
