LAST PAGE IS BEST PAGE! I Promise
Hello, and welcome!
I'm gonna try to update this sketchbook as frequently as possible.
The reason i've started this thread is to hear other peoples thoughts about my sketches. I'm not sure how this all works, but I guess i'll just try it
I'm starting with some head studies from Loomis, I think this is somewhat the best way of learning how to draw figures..
Thaks for reading & watching! (:
Here we go!

nice work, the images are quite big maybe shrink it down next time.
Yaaay someone close to my age! Well. I'm 18 now, but it's good to see.
Your heads are coming along very nicely, and they actually look like solid heads that you can turn in space.
My sketchbook. I'm always looking for critique, so please stop by
Etui : Thanks! I turn 18 in september, in a few months (:
Lukiza : yeah i noticed, sorry for the king-sized pics.
Some more heads.. and in smaller format
Few more sketches..
As you know, you can tell me what you think (:

more head studies! anyone critique?
my scanner is shit so sry for the quality
An old drawing I had laying around, it's A5 size
Wow, loving those head studies. I really like your style in the first picture in the second batch of drawing. Especially all the side view heads. One of the fatter gentlemen looks fantastic and I really really like it. Your drawing have that classic comic book feel I love. Keep it up!
As a side note, I like all the facial feature studies you've done but the teeth jump out on that one picture. Unless I'm doing a really detailed picture, I like to take attention away from the teeth (which almost always stand out) by drawing them as a solid mass and sketching lightly where they divide.
My Sketchbook ~Comments appreciated~
Card Queen: Thanks! I'm glad you like it (: I'll keep an eye on the teeth next time. Oh, and thanks for taking the time to write your opinion!
And now, a jellyfish!! I was tired of the head studies..
You drew a lot of faces.
my weakness is faces and expression then i awe when saw your hard works.
keep it up good work.
i will try harder too.
Good sketchbook so far dawg, keep them head studies up cause they're lookin good so far. Only thing I find a little wierd is that all your sketches seem to be very light, how hard are you pressing down with your pencil? If your using just a regular no.2 pencil I suggest goin to the store to get some 2B pencils or somethin. Anyway, welcome to CA
nice start to your sb keep up doing those studies and your portrait work will be amazing in no time
Dothaithanh: Thanks! i'll do..
Forrest_I: Yes i know, i draw very light, and my scanner makes tem even lighter.. I draw with a regular HB pencil atm, maybe i'll graw a softer one sometime.
Prsnsweeney: thank you, i'll keep doing those studies!
I did some anatomy studies, from the very beginning
looks like I'll need a lot more practice on anatomy..
I tried different scanner-settings by the last pic, i'm not sure if its better or not.. :/
small update from today
Nice work so far. Now keep at it and forget about the pencils. Also, if you manage to get hold of those Aquash brushes, drop me a line and i'll give you some advice.
Flying Dutchman: Thanks! I'll do that
So.. this is it for today
Last pose was pretty hard
I love sketching, i wanted to have some training but because of some circumstances, that could not happen.
Madihaghafoor: Hmm I see.. you know, i have exams at the moment, and still I try to draw whenever I have the time. Maybe you can sketch before going to bed? Thats what I do if I did'n have time during the day
rem92: Thanks for the good words! I appreciate it
a sketch of 'Burchtpoort bij Nijmegem' by Jan van Goyen
Forestdino: Thanks, I appreciate it!
Its the first time for me to draw with pen and ink. the proportions are waaay off, but remember, Its directly on paper.
This is something I have to practice more
More pen studies
pen & ink, It's not as easy as I tought
I bought a new pen this morning, but its thicker than expected. I'l upload pics of sketches with the new pen in a few hours
