Just so you know folks this is pretty typical for me. i mean the whole reason i stared this piece was to have something to finish, but now look at me!
Anyway I have a habit of starting pieces and never actually getting round to finishing them, i hit a sort of barrier and cant go any further. So i started this piece to try and break through that barrier, and it kind of worked.. I've spend longer on this than most things i paint these days. but my work rate kept going down and down and know i just open the file and stare at it blankly 0_0
I just don't know were to go with it, so this is really just an open call for ideas on how to get myself actually finishing this thing, or ideas/ problems with the picture its self that would help me.
My basic Idea with this picture was that a demon is slowly descending on a boy and his father, neither is intimidated and the demon is leisurely but confidently moving towards them. no real idea about the setting or were they are.
Any comments/critiques will be greatly appreciated

I like the finished look of the head, and I think if anything for now, just start to finish the rest of the Demon. Play with different skin types for him, more humanistic, or animalistic, or reptilian?
I think the wings lose out by being cropped. It would be great to see the scene expanded on either size to give it more scope. As for the background I could imagine this in an open field bordering on some woods.
Critique always appreciated!
