Working on this guy, I want to push him into a more polished illustration. I find the idea of a robot doing your grocery shopping hilarious. Does anyone else think that? How's the overall composition? This is definately in the begining stages. Thanks!
It's hard to read right now and the scribbly black and white hurts my eyes.
And then God said, "Let us make man in our likeness and our image. Let us make him ridiculously hard to draw so that poor artists everywhere will have to spend 10,000+ hours failing repeatedly before they can begin to capture the form and likeness onto a two-dimensional surface." And there was man. And it was good. And artists everywhere lost their minds.
Just a thought for you! how about trying a few different views or experiments with the robot.
You can play with the different functions of the thing like the droid being on wheels, being a converted trolley, having a trolley attachment or a periscope in his head to look at high shelves or a long arm from his butt with a grabber attachment or something. If you want it funny then you need to go with a few more ideas as someone in here said in their sig "your first idea is rarely the right one".
work the idea a bit mate you'll have even more fun and you never know the next idea might be ten times better.
enjoy it whatever happens and all the best mate

I really like what Lightship said. I agree try more things. I might like to see a wider view so we can see people in the store looking at the robot strangely. That will bring attention to the fact that a robot is doing grocery shopping. Otherwise, it might just be 'normal' in whatever futuristic world you are depicting and therefore not that funny. But yeah I think its pretty funny hehe
