Vehicles for this update!! Whoa, I must say this ones are quite difficult to work with! But I think they are coming out not that bad. The last one is a small W.I.P I'm working on with a little bit more love on it
Finished rendering this weird vehicle concept. I'm somewhat new to this but still think it's not that bad What do you guys think??
I really liked browsing through your sketchbook pages. Great work
Well, since I got tired of practicing anatomy and random figures I just decided to try out my hand at making some characters. They are not thaat great but I guess they show me that perfect canonical anatomy is not the only thing in this world XD
The fourth one is just a weird test to add a simple background. Ohh and just for the record, another main goal here was to create faces to my people!! I think faces are not that scary anymore but still have to work on them!
That skull in the end is just a WIP I'm working on.
Greip - Thanks for that man! I'm glad to hear I'm improving a little bit, haha, hard work is paying off!!
watdekikker - Thank you very much for checking out all my SB!!
Hey man, thanks for visiting my sketchbook, and thanks for the good advice!
You're a productive BEAST! Lots of good work in this sketchbook. I love your anatomy studies and gestures, they've got really good movement. When I saw the first page I was going to point out some problems with the heads and faces but I see you've been working on that too, they're looking better already. Your vehicle designs look good, but be careful with your perspective, sometimes just a few wonky elements can make the overall design look much less effective, from what I've observed. Ah, wish I could be more helpful.
You're progressing really fast, I want to see more from you, keep going!
SKETCHBOOK! IT'S FULL OF HOT RUSSIAN GIRLS WHO WANT TO MEET YOU AND WEIGHT LOSS/TEETH WHITENING SECRETS DISCOVERED BY A NEBRASKA MOM WITH NO ARMS!
Robodrey - Oh you are welcome!! Haha, productive beast? haha, well, I try to work hard and cover many aspects while working on tons of little sketches. It helps to explore new things quite a lot. Oh faces, yes, that's my goal this summer! And in my opinion their are really improving through hard work, as you can see ^^.
Hmm, perspective, haha, that must be my laziness to really check all of that, but now that you mention it I'll sure invest some time to work out that and create better vehicles. Thank you very much!!
Back to business!!
Some quick figure sketches I did to warm up here. Ohh and couldn't leave that red guy without posting! Naah, I just liked the way I colored that sketch, so decided to post it here for me to remember that: quick and nice.
Hello people! Time for a somewhat big update here. I worked on 4 different speed painted scenarios to keep them improving, a couple of really quick observation drawings just to warm up a little bit, and a new W.I.P. of that skull thing I'm working on ^^
cool stuff in here! good colors in the latest update.
i´d suggest when working on studies from photo and from life that you focus on nailing the anatomy and proportions, as well as thinking about gesture. do longer studies to nail them as perfect as you can. i think a few 2hour figure studies will be really helpful. draw draw draw
Time for some new stuffs! I've been practicing more scenery painting. I'm really interested on getting into it and get it right. Lots of ideas cooking in my head but I first have to learn how to portray them! If you got any comments or advise on scenes I would really appreciate it.
Also, I just decided to stop working on that skull, at least for a few days, here is how it goes.
And also I'm working on a spiderman drawing!
Ohh, traditiona SB update as soon as I manage to scan both
Flaskpost - Hey man thanks a lot for passing by my sketchbook! I really like that advise of yours to work longer with life and photo studies. I ¡ have been thinking what I could do to get my anatomy better, specially proportions XD and perhaps that could help a lot . And now that you mention it, I tend to just pay attention to color and contour and forget about the structure =P. I guess I'll do one right now from some photographs since it's not easy for me to get a model...
Hey thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. I just now saw your post which means I haven't been updating much.
I really like the first and third pictures on you latest post. Keep going!
Well, Flaskpost suggested me to work on longer studies and here you have the first one! It's from photoreference though... Would have preferred it to be from life, but no models available here... But I guess I still grasp something about anatomy and proportion right? Hmm, in any case, I thinng it turned out quite nice for being it 2 hours, and really enjoyed working on it by the way!!
Now decided to work on some digital paintings mostly to train imagination and picture solving, as well as the use of REFERENCE MATERIAL! I really have to learn how to use photographs and other stuffs to enrich my work, not just copy them.
Oh, and here is another wip of the spiderman's pic I'm working on. Just decided it would be nice if colored
ARgg!! Internet has been acting really weird and I can't go online as often... School is getting quite hard here... not much free time to work on digital. I've been exploiting my physycal sketchbook though, may upload all that traditional stuff this weekend! But in the meantime, I'll update this with a couple of digital pics and my finished spiderman drawing ^^
I love how painterly your work is. And the sheer numbers of studies is great. I notice that you frequently make the head on your figures too large. It works well for your anthroes but for most other things, like that spiderman for instance, it just makes them look off. Keep it up though, you've definitely got a great drive to improve. keep it up
Whoa! college is consuming me entirely! Hmm not been able to come here, but I've been working on stuff, I promise! Haha, specially that about faces and head size that some of you already noted.
Thanks a lot for all of you guys that give me some advice and take the time to check my sB!! I promise not to stop updating, perhaps can't update dail, but I'll do my best.
But for now, here you have a big bunch of digital stuff!
Time for the traditional stuff!! More to come later
Really nice stuff here. Love your rough brushes and your firefox
Nice sketchbook! Your drawings on traditional media are really good : )
thank you people for visiting my sketchbook! comments are greatly appreciated
Just a quick speed paint about a train or locomotive. Trying to learn how to effectively use reference here.
I bought a nice molesking from my trip to NY and it is soo nice and awesome! Haha, havn't played with it too much though, but here it is what I've done
The last digital pic I finished yesterday. Trying to layout a sort of "environment" or place for my figures to be, with. I will be working hard on that topic from now on. I really need to practice how to make figures and objects / places / other figures interact with each other; composition if you may call it
