Good range of work here, your colour studies have a great sense of light, so let's see some more of those!
MarcSampson: Thank you! The quote is actually by Carl Larsson, a swedish painter. I'm not too fond of his work but the quote stuck on me. I actually edited it into the signature.
keremcantarhan: I have no idea! It was a picture I just found on the internets
MeteorCat: haha thanks! I actually always forget about the nose and just quickly throw it together at the end.
kimozabbi: It depends what I'm studying. They range from around one hour to like 6-7 on the longer ones. The only advice I myself go by is just practice practice practice. I'm trying to keep myself going thinking it will all be worth it in the end
The_Flying_Dutchman: Thank you! I'll see to answer your needs
wiiip. Nothing really behind this, just started scribbling around and this is what it turned into. Maybe I'll finish it.
Satu: Thanks! Thats because the stuff sucks! And also someone keeps giving me one star. For each one I get I have to go through like all fives for the next 7 votes to get back to where I was. Someone is just being a prick.
Your stuff really does not suck, it's awesomeness. I wish I could do this kind of stuff one day. You are being overly too self-critical, but then again many artists are. Including me. I don't even know how does the star-system work. Can you like spam one topic with giving it stars many time? Sounds weird if it goes that way. Lovely lotr-stuff by the way.
Satu: Thanks! Yup the own stuff always sucks haha. It has it's positive sides too I guess.
You can only give one vote for a thread yeah, I think it's happened twice so far though.
Vulgar`: Thanks! Heh yeah now that you mentioned it. I actually went to see the movie but it was after the picture. It was quite the effect-porn.
Joe777k7: Thank you! Will do
Some more work on the dude on last page, still not done. And some crappy figures from head while watching TV.
For the record heres a piece I did on the same day I did my first study (6.8.2010, thats 8th of august for you weirdoes):
In two months it'll be two years since i started. Wether I have made little or alot of progress, that I do not know. Looking back I always wonder how much better would I be if I had worked harder. And if I had realized that this is what I want to do earlier. Time flies - and theres so much still to learn.
I swear the first one changed a bit. x.x; I'm just gonna call it done. Then some more scribble. Also took a pic of the anatomy stuff I've done the previous week. Theres so many sheets I'm not gonna bother scanning them - maybe few later. I've almost learned all the important muscles and bones by heart - something I should've done long time ago, then all thats left is doing some more studies trying to apply and understand all this shit. The sheets are two-sided.
Mila: Thanks man! I really really hope so.
Sorry guys no update yesterday. I just felt like shit and couldn't draw much no matter how matter how hard I tried. One of those days huh. Heres hoping it gets easier and you start being happy with the stuff you do - or atleast content.
Anyways, haven't got much to show, just some scribbling and stuff.
forestdino: Thank you!
MeteorCat: Thanks man! I'm not too fond of them so I doubt I'll continue those.
Sorry for the small breaks. Hopefully I'm over my personal motivational lump.
Heres some crap for today. Just some wippy scribble, ordinary scribble, and lame studies focusing on colour.
Let's do this!
You got some interesting character designs here but ithink you have to focus on less fancy brushes for start.
On this last castle drawing let's say, i think you're lost a bit on the different brushes.
The #496 thumbs are great man.
