love your latest work since the CA break! PUSH IT BABY!
To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.
NyeAlexandaFrayne: Yesssssir! I'm trying
Did another SP today.. which sucked. So here is a quick still-life. Dem fruits - feeding my lack of creativity!
Those damn studies of yours. They're fantastic!

kasblue: Thank you!
kimozabbi: Many thanks!

Blown away by those fruits, wanna eat em!

My Sketchbook: Blunder's Blund-o-rama
Blunderguffer: Thanks man! I bought the apples but alas they were pretty soft. If I hate something in this world, it is soft apples.
Vulgar`: Thank you! I wish I had haha. I feel pretty bad. But one has to keep pushing
asa: Thank you! I'm loving your designs. Really solid stuff, awesome guns and vechiles. I wish I could do that, whoa.
kasblue: Thank you! Yeah it's from imagination. It's not actually very detailed at all - it's mostly of very similar hues and just alot of atmospheric effects on top of each other so it's actually quite easy to achieve. I would just crumble if I tried to do more color variation in it.
Mila: Thanks man!
Didn't get to update yesterday as I had some irl stuff to do. I did go to a art exhibition focusing on Helene Schjerfbeck yesterday that was about to end. I really loved her earlier works but as with many other artists her works tended to move away from the old-master like approaches as she grew older. Should've just kept going with the more realistic/impressionistic look if you ask me.
Anyways. Heres some scribble.
EDIT: removed some moer shit

Nothing interesting to show today. The wip looked a lot better before I killed it somehow. Hah.

rumpenstiltzkin: Thank you!
The red team! Crappy still-life and stuff. I should really get those daylight lamps. Looking at bright colours for long periods of time in warm light really starts to suck after a while. And the colours start to look different.
It's sort of weird to me how you, like fernstrom, manage to do so much with the medium. Your strokes
are amazing. Your still lives...still lifes? anyways, they're awesome in every possible way.
I wonder how, in the thumbnails, you can get so much out of so few strokes. Ahh, man. Cool stuff.
p sage: Thank you!
siiilon: Many thanks!
Gpozzo: Thanks! Hah yeah, it's bad. I won't continue on it. It had it's moments along the way. Now lost, though.
Toffers: Thanks! Hes waaaaaaay better than I am. Like, so much better.
Mila: Thanks man!
kasblue: Cheers! Didn't really finish any of the objects. Some more than others as you can see.
blablalb. Won't continue these as they are bad but posting anyway.
that fish looking good, not so bad i would say, head lightning could be more directional (from up more) to achieve better composition & 3d feeling but othervice you could keep doing that more, just open the canvas on left more and add something on the foreground...

thats what i meant... that tube looks pretty cool, rough and edgy. that fishy thingy is so oooosome! beautiful colors and environment. really like your choice of brushes too. like in the first study in your last post. and that apple! wow. how many brushes do you normally use?
Beautiful studies!!!!! Very inspiring! Any chance you can swing by my sketchbook and give me a few crits? ^_^
Nettle_Mountain: Thanks alot for the crit! I poked around a bit more but still don't like it. Got better though!
kasblue: Thanks The amount of brushes I use varies. I would like to get more variation in my work as everything I do tends to look really flat so I'm trying to bring more brushes into the mix. Most of the time I'm just falling back on the good old regular round brush though.
Bing!: Thank you! I'll see what I can do, though I doubt I'll have anything intelligent to say
Enthralling work and studies, kinsman.
I enjoy the simplicity of this one a lot http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1349981975
kasblue: Thanks man! No gradients this time, just hand painted. I use them sometimes but mostly during the early stages of the image.
Tugelbend: Many thanks! You have some wonderful art. I'm nowhere near your level.
Boring stuff, sorry!
Also started a blog at http://kvenh.blogspot.fi/. I probably won't update it as often as the CA sketchbook but follow me there as well!
