Thanks mate! Actually I'm stucked about the Killing Floore "piece", thanks for your sugestions, I'm gonna try to watch more references and compositions cause I feel that I can't advance with it
The peanut shape exercise, It's cause all the basic forms, or figures of the body can be separated in that peanut shapes, so I tried to practice with them, and then make figures with it. Thanks for your advice, maybe I'll uploading an exercise about that.
There are 2 reasons why I'm not uploading Every single day, 1 is that I'm on vacations and usually I'm not at home, once between 2 or 3 days I'm going to kind of theaters where "murgas" act in. Really sorry about that sentence, but I don't know how to express this x], there are some "bands" there are really popular here in Uruguay, they act on the summer carnival (all february) in this kind of theaters. Well, here are the "murgas"
The second reason, It's because I want to finnish my Killing Floor image, but I'm Really stuck, I was trying to make it better like hours, but I fell that I'm messing up, so, I'll watching references and such to have some inspiration and continue. Today I'll upload a drawing that I made inspired by a "murga" named "La Soņada" so, here is the first upload of it
It actually sucks, but I don't know, I feel that I can't made anything -.- It's so annoying
Well, 5 a.m o'clock and I'm going to bed, finally I feel some freedom and enjoy what I'm doing, hope you enjoy too
Oh, crap, I think I liked this
Trying to block in some parts of the torso
Nosferatu Tribute - Not finished yet
You're right man, I just liked the way that I sketched those faces and keep doing it, Thanks for your support!
Well, was away for some days, just enjoying vacations, drawing but not uploading.
Anyways, here some concepts for Nanoattack, next time will uploading some faces cause Santiago (game creator) asked that to me (idk if asked it's the right word)
This one has a shitty face, I didn't make the mouth cause it was pretty shitty, I'm going to watch more references about it
Some work in progress of the "rendering" of the suit
I suck at it
I'll going on vacation until next monday 28th
Hey dude, good work keeping up your posts, maybe you should do more environments, just a thought, anyways good luck with it and as always keep it up
Hey, it's been a while. Good stuff you've got going here. Although, at your stage, I'd love to see a lot more pencil works.
Don't worry too much about the rendering. With enough studies, and practice, you'll get there. Just define your expectations for now, and don't think you'll be as good as an industry veteran within a week. Work short term goals, and set those based on the long term ones.
Keep pushing the artworks.
Thanks mate! I'll making more environments more forward, when the Nanoattack project requires it, caus I wanna go step by step
Yeah you're right, I usually do pencils, but when I have a fast idea and then I probably scan it and work digitally, but you have the reason, I really HAVE to work more on pencils, It's the basic. And I'll take your advice about rendering, sometimes I forgot that I'm a "novice", I mean I wanna make masterpieces right Now! And obviously I can't, anyways I'll working hard to have better pieces in not that long time, Thanks for your advice as always!
Trying to work a little more on the suit, some fixes and such
XD Damn I forgot the right hand !
Some WIP of a design of a Hero that I'll present in a contest of an Uruguayan forum, and according of what I did say, working in pencils
Well, these days I was scribbling and sketching some things, but I didn't had the time to upload, so, here it is
(It's not a chronological order btw)
Well, I'm pretty sucking, I don't feel comfortable with what I'm doing, so I'll work more and harder
Hey man, great to see working on the traditional mediums.
It's been a while since you've done (posted, at any rate) studies, so it might be a good time to look at that. It's always good to work from imagination, to keep taxing your mental library, but in order to build that mental library we need to go back to studies.
Although I'm sure you're more than aware of this, I thought a little bit of reminding can never hurt. Pardon my nagging.
Keep drawing, and updating this sketchbook.
Thanks man, I'll take your advice and work more on trying to draw things that i've learned from past studies, thanks for the constantly support!
Nice advice mate, thanks!
Today I was watching a documentary about bugs in some random channel, and I tought it would be a nice idea, to try to imitate this bugs, they are so colorful and have so many shapes that it must be a little bit difficult but fun too, so first of all, I'm going to try to just draw some of this bugs from pictures, then, try to block in some shapes from imagination and also try to make some "interventions" that I have in mind, so Stay tune!
Well, tomorrow I start with high school (I think it would be college in U.S.A), so probably I'll uploading more and every day
Today some, more practice of colors, and try to do the same bugs, but blocking in with some simple shapes (but then I ruined up trying to make details, idk why)
Great updates, I really like all of the different stuff you're experimenting with here. Even though your last bug painting attempt was meant to be just a simple exercise in blocking in color, I like how the green bug turned out.
art is never finished, only abandoned~Leonardo da Vinci
Thanks man! they're really colorfull and that also helps, anyways, thanks!
Just some random scribbles, not much
Some exercises of simplifying forms, and mass values
Same as yesterday
Damn, 200 days in almost a year, I know is not the best, and taking the name of the Sketchbook don't reflect reality, but I'll try to update more oftenly in the next year.
Today I wanted to make 2 characters only on pencil and paper, so...
Wow -- Awesome commitment to improving! (Congrats on day 200!)
If I had to comment on anything, I'd just say keep trying to push your values when you're painting. Popping in a few brighter highlights / darker shadows will really start to make things sing and help describe your forms better!
Keep up with the studies, you're on the right track. ^_^
(And thanks for dropping by my sketchbook!)
I'll try that on my next update cause I'm just painting, so really thanks for the advice mate!
Well, today some digital work of NanoAttack
An update of the last sketch, and sketching another design for the contest that I talked before
Some desaturated WIP
Some quick sketch before sleep
Having fun with my pen
