GREAT stuff! Can't wait to watch your further progress!
This is a wip I'm working on atm... i want to paint the background dark and make her clothes light (like the bits around her hair) to maintain a contrast. comments and critics are welcome

layout for my blogspot sketchbook
so... for the last weeks i was really busy, since ive started to work on a calender project for a german chemistry association. after showing them different concepts and illustration layouts, they've decided for the subject: chemistry and fashion. now i have 2 months to finish up 12-14 illustrations, so that they can give me feedback, make remarks and then i can finalize it til end of october. so for the coming weeks, i will upload them bit for bit and would be really grateful for any constructive critisizm or interesting ideas for this subject
here are the first two concepts:
the first one depicts the hair styling gel and how its cut down to the formula. wasnt sure if it should be constructed or self drawn, but liked the contrast here.
here we have a collage of the same girl with different hair styles, but the same cloth which should resemble some kind of silk. the molecule structure is on the cloth.
the calender will be A2-size.
thank you for watching i'll keep practicing...
your last post is great. I like the eyes.
the last picture especially!
A big YES! for drawing people in public spaces! You've got some good stuff going on here. I'm glad you decided to sign up.
I think that second hair gel one looks great, very edgy and finished looking. I hope you'll keep posting.
Ps. What kind of textures are you using on your digital paintings?
Lovely life drawings. Is that done in pencil or ink?
Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!
great start to your SB man!
