LEARN TO DRAW LIKE THE OLD MASTERS
Instructor: Andrew Ameral
WORKSHOP BEGINS THURSDAY APRIL 07, 2011
This four week intensive workshop will give students an opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience rendering the human figure, from life, in pencil.
Sound academic techniques I learned and taught at the Florence Academy of Art will be introduced. A live model will be present and students will be
working from a single pose throughout to obtain a fully finished and accurate representation within the range of their experience and ability.
A number of lectures and demonstrations will be given focusing on better understanding the anatomy and the construction of the human form and its features. The sight size method will be introduced. Stages of the classical drawing process will be explained and practiced.
This workshop is excellent for any artist looking to hone their craft and open to all advanced and beginning students.
