Vay, both! All of the above. I always think it is a good idea to do your best job, but don't psych yourself out. Realize that the first few, even if you try as hard as you can, may not turn out to be what you were hoping. Start off with smaller, less ambitious pieces i.e. one single subject - an egg, a cup, etc to get used to the media. Work your way up to portraits, interiors, landscapes and other more complicated subjects.
Another quick portrait tonight. I see a lot that should be fixed on this one, but am too sleepy. Maybe I'll come back to it. 1.5 hours again.
