I just love your Mass Effect 2 fanart and study !
Be careful about ME 3... I was disapointed by this one ME2 is the best ^^ !!
You should make some Krogan you know
Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. Your rendering skills are phenomenal.
I have to agree about everthing with Izzual about Mass Effect.
Mass Effect 1 and 2 are spot on games. I liked 3 too but not as much.
Hope to see more stuff from you soon.
And you're from Finland! - cool, high five!
Love the recent environment stuff. They have a great mood and feel. Nice compositions as well.
Had such fun time yesterday that I'm going to livestream again: http://www.livestream.com/DerivedApe
Going to start with that Boba and then move on into other stuff, environments (perhaps current EOW), studies and all that good jazz. Going to be there all god damn day...cos that's how I roll! See ya there!
So cool stuff man! Love the simplicity and use of big shapes, really helps you out when thinking about the whole piece. You can always spend infinite time with details if needed.
I dwell in Tampere, where are you located in Finland?
oh my goooood man i love your brush econome and stroke-work its delicious, tho your palette when working from head feels really limited, try to have a reference of a real world thing and copy that palette it will bring a bit more life into your colours, also your figures look a biit static, and i dont see alot of action recently, you should practice that, it gets really fun when you get it down and insted of struggling with it you start using it to your advantage, its all about practice keep it up!
LionheartGFX: thans for the compliments and specially big thanks for thr crits! Will definately look into it.
N1frit: Cheers. Glad you liked what you saw.
Witek: thanks! Yeah, Jama, AJ, JJ, Eastburn all particular favourites of mine. All of them are such masters of values that it blows my mind.
Speed paint study. Ref was a NatGeo photo of a venetian dancer I believe.
edit: now with random sketches

Great shapework!!!! and in that bluish mountainenviro, i see some awesome edge in the depth, really adds an eyecandy!!! you are doing great!!!!!
Kingkostas: Thanks man! Good shapes is something that remains abit ellusive to me. I occasionally clearly strike on shapes that seem more pleasing than others but I don't really know what is a good shape.
Study os a study. The original is an academic study by unknown (atleast for me as I couldn't find the artists name) russian artist.
Loving this last study! Your brush strokes are so impressing ! Keep it up !!!!
PS: Oh... wait... Something is missing here... Where is the KROGAN mate?! ;P
Wow man you are beast! Do you have any tip how to train imagination?
My sketchbook - Please, help me grow Critique very appreciated
we want the krogannn !!! Hahah awesome mate, well a good shape is a shape that is harmonious in the composition and works well in it. Also a good shape helps us recognize better some things. For example a good sillouete of a hand is the first important thing we see, and then we see the forms in it. But its in the "how we feel it" so by working more and more with shapes, we get better taste . Beautiful study!!!
Izzual: Hey thanks man! Krogan is coming...I swears, it will. don't shoot me!
Nickybeats: Thanks! I shall!
I think most important thing is to get good mental library of things so you imagination have something to pull from. Read, play games and study stuff.
Kingkostas: Very interesting. Thanks for sharing your views on shapes and silhouettes. Hmm....must study more.
Will be streaming about in half an hour or so. Let's say 18:45 pm of Helsinki time. I shall paint....a krogan. dun dun dunhhh!!!
