I haven't posted for some time now. I've been lurking and poking around and CA seems still the best place to look for motivation. I start this thread to get my ass kicked and start doing some regular anatomy studies.
For start I'll throw few sketches that got bit out of control. Girl and torsos are from references and the rest is experiments. I love experimenting

Well, i can't find amateurish things in your "sketches", so keep up your good work!! :-D
"Alle Erinnerung ist Gegenwart"
Not bad for an amateur Those torsos are nicely painted and your experiments look interesting. Show us some more.
thanks guys, but those are better ones which happen once in a blue moon. Now, some rough sketches. I'll upload more in the night, hope to study some Bridgmans today!
fruitful day, i got some sketches to share. I've got problems using refs, so I tend to look intensively on stuff, remember as much as I can and then try to draw it. It haas some major drawbacks I must say. Live, not tied to chair model would rock... Hell, bondage would be nice too
thanks Lance! Today got only few. Tried to sketch some faces, but did terrible mess with pencil instead +Some scifi to make my life less miserable
WIP from today, leaving it b&w is tempting but I'm still far from laying colors. Any obvious flaws? I flipped it upside down, used mirror image but still it's not enough for my exemplary fail-at-basic-stuff skill
prety awesome stuff man, real insperational
id love to learn somke of those techniques you use for drawing characters with backgrounds... scenes that have a story to them. some sexy stuff :/
great stuff you have in here!
talking about your last wip: maybe its better if the big mech guy isnt that near to the left frame because it seems that he is looking outside the picture. so you could try to put something in his line of sight and letting the viewer stay in the picture.
this psychedelic-tentacle-creature-thing......it'll follow me......post more!
thank you guys for warm comments!
daflom You are of course right about composition- I started doodling some soldier, but as it evolved I completely ignored the setting.
here's what I've managed to do today:
Got some extended brake from posting, first due to new years partys, illness after and finally flu, yay! Well, at least I had some time off to read and sketch a bit. Couple new things!
