No need to put yourself down, I used to do that too but it really doesn't do you anything but beat yourself up. Just have to realise that there's no point of doing it.
Other than that , I think you're working really hard. And that makes me want to work even harder haha
try to make your line more simple. switching to another tool should help (a thicker pencil, sanguine, charcoal or ink)
I'm NOT happy with the inked sketch. Ended up ruining it due to my inexperience with inking.
In fact, there's a lot that I'm not happy about, namely my lack of focus. If I were more focused I'll have been doing so much more and actually having a portfolio by now.
I don't think I can draw now due to my mood, so it's metal slug time, then back to drawing.
I'm uploading animu style drawings because I know some people get pissed off at it. And I can always upload my life drawing sketches to show that I DO KNOW my anatomy.
I might be Mr Invisible at work, having no social life because I need to get better at drawing, not much money in my bank account...but my life's getting somewhat better.
I don't know if anyone knows the feeling, but it's like having a sword to fight off monsters. Before, you don't have much of anything to drive off the beasts plaguing you.
But now....SHARPEN THAT SWORD!!! You might be able to make it after all!!! Just keep going despite everything that doesn't go well!!!
You MIGHT GO PLACES IF YOU FIND A WAY!!!!!!!
The storyboard's not covered by an NDA, so I can show it to whoever I like.
.......It's going to take me two years to catch up with the likes of Marko Djurdjevic's 2009 standard, if I'm able to spend 8 - 12 hours a day drawing and learning about art. That doesn't include anything about graphical design; only colours, anatomy and dynamic foreshortening.
I don't have that time. Plus I have absolutely no idea how to get art jobs and am now looking for a mentor.
And there's already tens of thousands of artists out there with Marko's standard. And by the time I reach that standard....it'll be commonplace and expected.

Those are some pretty awesome studies. By that I mean: it's great how thoughtful you're being about it, making notes and trying to work out what's going on with the anatomy instead of just grinding out copies.
It's also interesting to hear your attitudes towards art and its place in life. I disagree with grinding (taking an active interest is both more fun and a more effective way to learn), but I sympathise with not super enjoying the process of drawing (though I'm getting better at that). You might appreciate this.
