@FightingSeraph, @rumpenstiltzkin - thanks pals
@Velocity Kendall - hey man, that's some great selection
I am happy to finally get in touch with new ZBrush release. I was always interested to sculpt more and some of the new features are just of my taste, so I guess I am all for it.
Ooo lots of fun, and moderately creepy stuff
I really like "voila viola" - and the window monster in 93 creeps the pants off me.
Your style is very inspiring.
Started to work on the Tree-Trip painting based on one of my previous sketches. Here is the first color layer wip.
+ Retro Pick Of The Week #03 - 1999
well, I came across theese two images from 1999 that I never displayed to public. I guess I understand why but now I don't care, so enjoy. Not sure if that's even possible though
Your concepts with the figures are great!
Figured I take another stroll through yer sb...glad I did because I'd missed this.
First thank you for the high praise...I really appreciate it. As for your work...I agree rough is good!
I understand what you mean about losing foundations...but I think sometimes when you're stylizing characters it's good to let that knowledge move to the back-seat.
The film study frames are definitely readable...I like you "camera" sense...moving our eyes low and high...close and far. Reminds me of the movement in Farrelly Brother's storyboards.
Really diggin the retro works from 99 and the wip below them!
Speaking of stylized...I like the way your finding personality and character for Mono.
Ciao fer now
I like 'em...especailly mr pig dood. _
Ok...so I was wrong. It's the Coen Brothers I was thinking about...BIG difference eh!
Looking at what I just found on-line your drawing styles differ a lot...yours being more refined...their's more cartoony. But the "camera/eye" placement sense you have...as I said low/high, in/out is what I see as a similarity.
Here's one link I found: http://www.artistdaily.com/blogs/dra...oryboards.aspx
I like the story boards of theirs on the extra features for Miller's Crossing...where they show them side by side with the actual movie footage.
Ciao fer now
@yogeshj25 - heh thanks man. I have a new word for my dictionary to better describe of what I am doing here. Gritty sounds good. Thanks for the encouragement
@Lav - thanks, yeah the last one is colored in Painter. The drawing is multiplyed over the color layer. I used simple brush with noise applied to whole image and blurring here and there. Glad you like it.
BTW - maybe some of you folks would love to buy my older traditional media works which are currently for sale here.
