really happy these days~~
so glad to find v8 juice again
File sizes are still too big! Split them up in to smaller chunks to make them easier to see. Anyway, looking good so far.
"How'd you like them apples?"
i can make the size different.. but not smaller ^^

i'm thinking about changing the title of my sketchbook to "don't tell me not to draw manga"
but i also don't want to be bothered too much about what other people say ^^
Lostcookie: holy mother of god there was more crap than you expected?
Sean: thanks for checking in~ yeah just taking it slow.. the place I want to be is a couple years out so no need to rush if I can keep the pace
reminder that almost everything here is from observation or copied from another picture
today i made and used my first custom brush in photoshop.. it was a simple square but it worked out way better than I expected. The two strands of hair with the red circles are a good example. The top circle is a strand drawn using the regular hard round brush. I've been having a hard time getting the strands of hair to end in a sharp point and look smooth. The bottom circle shows an example using the square brush. I don't know why but it worked out much better..

i'll opt not to worry until there's something to worry about
simple manga are nice to learn from but there's nothing like copying a master~
I should note before someone tells me to, i'm still drawing human figures interspersed throughout and yes i'm still studying anatomy
wowwwww.. look at all these figuressssssss... i dont wish to be ur hand right now lol
great job.. great great job...
Even though you may not want to hear it I think you should spend more time with life drawings and anatomy studies. Nothing speaks against drawing Manga but I think these studies will have an positive effect on your drawings.
That said you improved quite a bit and I hope you will keep drawing.
Have fun progressing,
Have overead your comment about the anatomy. Still it would be nice if you could show some anatomy studies.
Are you doing Bridgman?

decided on my latest regimen: (face copy + figure copy + imagined figure)X at least 3 per day for the next month
only 1 2/3 of the way today.. maybe x3 isn't realistic for a working weekday
You've got a ways to go with anatomy, but this here's some interesting progress. Any chance of seeing more pencil work?
Amateur Artist. Professional Asshole.
Lookit the Pretty!
Rule #1 of depicting soldiers: KEEP THE DAMN FINGER OFF THE DAMN TRIGGER.
Falchion: Thanks! One of the things i'm looking forward to the most is being able to look back on the sketchbook and see phases of transition as i grow into an artist
I've never used pencils though, everything has been digital.. i don't have an interest in pencils right now
gotta draw a line
I have the fear of god in me that if i don't draw a little every day not only will I not get better i'll get worse
woo hoo ~
trying to learn from alice a~

Sadako: thank you very much..! it's definitely not perfect though i'll keep trying to improve @_@
I mostly shared the process so that people could point out if there was a mistake with it ^^;
from ref of course
people are way easier to paint than anything else..
i dunno if i'm starting to get the hang of these textured surfaces or not..
anyone have any tips?
i learned that: textures are hard, leaving out tiny details reduces the realism (wisps of cloud in the sky, etc)
