Been away for last shift of work and a party. Only had time to do a few pages today since was hanging with my gf aswell. The fine liner was an attempt to get better lines using no construction and my shoulder to draw with. Pretty much its all crappy, but ive still got 100's more pages of improvement to go!
Super stuff dude! I'm liking the sci fi character you're developing
Just did a rough still life. Fun stuff figuring out colour and value, still not nearly correct but oh well.
Crappy studies and a crappy 30 min self portrait from life. Ugh drawing is hard Want to be better now!! So i shall keep studying and have another update tonight...

Dude your stuff is awesome! How old are you btw?
Wanderer_ haha cheers bud, im 19.
ouch, spend 5.5 hours doing this study 0_0 longest time i think ive ever spent. and learned lots
like i need to study faces and arms and everything. im kinda happy with the values though : D
some pencil studies
your photo-ref paintings are very nice!!
i think it s a really good way to keep drawing the sci-fic character again and again as ur painting skill is improving. u ll see your created character slowly developing.
What only 19!? Amazing. Inspirational!
That study of the chick is really nice! Keep on going!
Awesome work! Guess I'm kind of a noob, but your studies look perfect to me! You've got a lot of really accurate, solid work here. One crit though, your imagination figures and characters can tend to look sort of rigid since they have horizontal hips and shoulders. I think you should study how the body shifts weight and creates balance. Asymmetry plays a really big part in what makes something look appealing, methinks. There's a John K article about this actually, it might be a good read.
Thanks for sharing your work!
