Heyo,now that's a big SB.
Thx4dropping by mine.
The sheer number of pics is amazing and although it's "just" a sketchbook, I believe that some more details in you sketches could already make it better.
I think some anatomical knowledge could help too, since your characters consist of rather straight lines, which can make them look a little stiff. You might also try some outline variation, like thicker/thinner, dark/bright, or just dont close the line, keep it open here and there.
Creusa yeah ffffuck indeed, but I think it is not very polite to call my sketchbook that so I just stick with the FFFFFFF
schockowaffel good ideas for next sketches, thanks :>
not being very productive lately...
Here are some hands studies...
cant draw trucks >__>
and drawing away to get rid of frustrations and all that...
@LtPlissken: RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW YEAH! thanks :>
not so much today...
And this seems to be WIP since like.. forever :V
Last time I posted this was three pages back or something...
I must get around finishing it...
Miti from my web comic :>
Aww missed your stream
Your workplace study looks good, you have a window to draw inspiration from! Don't really know what you're seeing there. Where I do most of my works I don't have a window, maybe I should relocate to a different room?
Anyway keep the high level of grind up!
MatKaminski will do... even though I get stuck on it all the time :V
Kerah too bad you missed it, better luck next time :V
I do not find the view of my window to be very inspiring though. The view is kinda fugly, only grass. I hate grass.
Yes I really hate grass.
You would be surprised to find that out.
But I really hate grass.
tomorrow monday again.
OK here is sketchbook stuff
Stream went really bad.
I cannot draw gundams at all.
Especially when I try to draw them in a different pose than the ref.
Geez these sketches are eewwwww
Why do they suck so much :V
It was an attempt at drawing the Aegis. The first sketch should have been mirrored officially because it holds the gun in the right hand. But I forgot that since I rejected the sketch anyway.

Hey that mirror illustration looks really cool, you should totally finish it! Keep up the good work.
Thanks, yochanan I guess the illustrations that takes the most effort..and have the most story behind them... are the best ones..
Gah im tired... but I cannot rest...
How can people live like this?
something im working on...
and something with fineliners... I love peacocks :>
sup pokemon master. looking at some of your work anyways did mewtwo kick your ass?hahah. keep up the good work!

kimozabbi Me pokemon mastaa I like that :> Really should draw myself as a pokemon master someday haha with my team
I bet I can guess what my dream team would be huhuhu
Anyway, I have seen her work before yeah. It is pretty cool.
Day off, did not sleep, learnt some Russian, read my book, staring at the screen, staring in the distance, and sometimes some drawings in between...
Still can't draw trucks to save my life :<
I hate Bargue
And Bridgman too ARGDSHDGSHJSDG
how does he even
draw like that.
/putting a song here so that this seems like a decent update
good work haha, why all the trucks ?!
yay for gundams too!
A Faux I am studying trucks for the sake of the comic I am working on :V
YEAH GANDAMUUUUU WAAAAH
Kerah I think they are beneficial... They are hard to do and that usually means for me that I learn a lot. And I saw many other great artists do them.
So I was like.. it must be useful then :V Maybe kinda naive, but it cannot destroy my art right :>
ashess is there a joke I missed? XD
anyway thanks :>
I sketched up some designs for eggs I am going to paint. My mother bought some of those blank porcelain eggs. xD That seems fun :>
Let me know which design you like best.
And some sketchbook stuff.
that was it for now...
uuh, I forget where I heard this, but apparently, a good amount of time to work on a bargue is 12 hours. anything under 6 doesnt count. at all!
the hands are good sketches- and I'll be fair, I'd wonder what I'd be doing on a piece like that after 15 minutes. but its not a bargue.
so I took your comment to mean 'you hate bargue' - so you do this to spite it; then Kerah asks you if the bargue was usefull... I though it was a joke ^^ no offence meant!
I like the fish eggs. (1 &2) but wouldnt a 'wrap' be better to try the design on. you know, so you can draw 'all the way around' the egg?
@ashess: uuuh 12 hours?! I do not think I have enough patience to spend that long on a study xD
What's not bargue btw?
haha I think I said "I hate bargue" because I was frustrated with it at the moment. I do not really hate it I think ^^; I also drew it in the morning. That seriously makes a difference for me hahahaha
In the morning I hate all things
Wrapping the design around the egg was a nice idea too. I thought I would draw them as eggs so that I "see" how the design appears as an egg XD
Easter is coming...
I really have to move out of the house someday. Parents get more annoying when there are festive days.
and here is the cat grrrrl I am still working on
Colours are getting more crazyyy
my movie is less sexy and I know it :V
Why do I even post this :V
After this I will take a firm shot of hardstyle!
Anyway, here are some updates...
That is not much I know...
I think you should try to spend more time on the bargues. Even 12 hours is really not long at all if you want to do them how they were intended. It's not uncommon for full-time art students to spend a month or more on their bargues, you really need to copy them absolutely perfectly, the proportions have to be spot on, the tone has to be consistent and the transitions have to be perfect.
I recommend you try to do that, print out a full-size bargue that isn't too complicated, tape it next to the paper and use a piece of string for assistance in measuring. There are a lot of helpful posts on bargues and these couple videos explain the process quite well too. Remember you can do other stuff while working on the bargue too, but really they are meant to be done as longer studies.
@yochanan: wooah, I sure will have to try that
OK today I only have some studies for you :/
I did finish that cat girl: http://xixa.deviantart.com/art/isaa-294470245
barely no one faves it though. I wonder what is wrong with it :V
It was about time to update this thing.
Big painting I worked on at livestream today.
(I also posted it on my dA: http://xixa.deviantart.com/art/divisions-295290213 )
Still life from yesterday's stream
And one page of my sketchbook..
That was it... I have to go to work tomorrow... Not happy about it
