So was just messing around with photoshop and decided to try to paint a caricature of myself.... not fully cleaned up yet but was just wondering if colors and such worked? (skin tones seem very challenging >.<) Or any additional comments, ty
Try flipping it horizontally and see what you see You should notice stuff that's crooked or tilted or uneven, etc. The hatching technique could use some work too, it's looking a bit sloppy and overworked. Personally I think hatching on a Wacom is a terrible experience, so you might even want to just ditch it and practice on paper. All the colors are looking kinda green. Any special reason for that? The last thing is maybe get some more variation in the values, places that are lighter especially.
i think its prolly the blue underpainting >.< .. and ya sketching with a waycom is well sketchy kinda none the less... but i can def see what u mean with the green skin tone how would u make a more believable skin tone i did a blue underpainting with yellows oranges adn reds overtop
