I'm Industrial Designer who has been reading CA for some time and finally I'm throwing my own art here to be judged. Crits, helpful ideas/images, tutorials and comments are welcome!
This first one was done before I start reading Andrew Loomis books. I used posemaniacs.com for reference. This is supposed to be reference for me to see where I start this journey.
These are photoshop renders I did using ctrlpaint.com tutorials and they provided the reference images. After doing these I realized I need to learn more anatomy as I tried to draw Left 4 Dead Tank and didn't know how the muscles and joints work. Also working from imagination is difficult for me but copying what I see isn't.

Looks like you'll have to upload the attachments for the first post again, they were probably uploaded as the servers were switch so didn't get in.
Today I only got this one page done but I believe my subconscious will do some work before next time. Thinking and adding muscles was more work than I first thought.
Welcome to the SB thread, and good start. Loomis is like religion around here. But anatomy study from anyone I've found is priceless, but a looong journey. I recomend you use a ruler, and establish your center line, then maybe use they square devided into 8 to keep your figures proportions correct. But whatever works for you, find it, and use it alot. Keep grinding and updating and you'll see improvement fast I think.
*edit, sorry but forgot to mention I like the Ctrlpaint stuff. I was actually just about to go for the rendering one too. Looks good!

Your painted stuff looks great! Keep spewing out those anatomy and figure drawings!
I'm a peacock, you gotta let me fly!
New Sketch Wooo!
Bomberman - Final Light is just a name for concept, not a real game or anything. Final Light refers to explosion that kills you in game.
What if bomberman was fantasy based action game? Characters would be visually customizable but they all played the same. This character has Morning Star kind of weapon but the ball on the end of chain is exploding one instead of solid metal. Once explosive ball has been placed chain visually connects it back to the character and the chain doesn't hinder movement.
I had problems coming up with a solid gear and I tried painting without proper line art. This was also more of lighting practice than design. I had a challenge with my friend to redesign Bomberman character.

Let me try to revive this thread. I have had hard time to motivate myself to draw or even to pick up a pencil. I do sometimes draw fast sketches on paper with pencil but when it comes to colors and/or painting I'm good at finding something else to do. I read couple of posts from CA's facebook page where people had similar problems and I realized maybe I'm not so alone with this. I think the next step is to draw a lot from real life and do some value studies. I think that the value is my biggest enemy right now.
So here's an apple from today. I had problems with muddy colors and I don't know which brushes I should use to color it.
