I have no idea what to do now. Please help with critique.
Skintones! The skin here is very pale and yellow. Even the palest of people in real life don't have that kind of skin. (Check vampires in twilight) You need to add more colors than just that skintone, add some warm colors like pink or red to the nose and cheekbones, observe your own face and see where the warmer parts (in terms of color) are. The shadows and darker areas, like under the cheekbone, should not just be gray, once again, maybe try some warmer (but dark colors).
However, what I suggest you, first and foremost, to do is to do this in grayscale first. Don't mess around with colors and stick with a monochromatic palette so that you can work on and focus on your values. Focus on that first and then see how much it helps. Try drawing a still life with just a regular HB pencil and try to see the dark areas and light areas (again don't focus on the colors in it). While it may seem boring at first, it can pay off.
Hope I didn't seem too harsh! and good luck.
I accept any critique no matter how harsh it is
Anyway, thanks for the comment, those are really helpful to me! I'll paint more stuff in grayscale first then.
