eager to see more R come back soon.
Okey back on track with more updates!
Been really lazy lately, but I've manage to draw some stuff...
These are all caricatures, I just got stuck when I saw some recently, would like to do more and get better. But we'll see...
Anyways! Here's the update!
The first picture I made as a tribute to the family I lived with during part of the holidays, choosed to do it in a cartoon style. Not as good as I wanted it to turn out, but I would like to work more with caricatures to make it look better.
Next is a request I got from a close friend of mine, she wanted me to do a drawing for her of Bob Dylan. I could do however I wanted, the only thing was that Bob Dylan and the words "Don't think twice, it's alright" was on the drawing. Choosed to do a caricature because I wanted to make his hair, nose and ears stand out more to make it more fun to lok at. Or fun & fun, too see that is was him easy. This piqture is taken before I wrote the words but waah... you get the point She loved it, so I'm very happy with my result
Rebecka I am amazed really! the faces of that family is so hilarious, they look very nice and very funny. Very characteristic, if I knew who they were I know Id see it was them.
And to talk about that Bob D, woaw. Awesome technique and style. Nice to see u use some charcoal, I guess uve used a stomph to smooth the skin? look amazing overall. The hair is stunning haha. The only crit is something with the shadows on the chin that I think should be layed alittle bit below but thats just to say something really its not even a minor problem.
Ur getting better and better and this was a huge, I mean HUGE step! glad to see.
Now I'm all blushing, thank you so much!! So glad that you can see improvement, very happy!!
Yes I did use a stomph, haha indeed but I was kinda lazy with the hair, could done it better. But thanks I agree with you, I noticed it when I was done with it but I didn't dare to erase it incase it would look messy afterwards. But know I know Will do it better next time
Impossible not to see improvement stomphs can be awesome, u used it well, was some time since I used mine maybe ill go pick it up again. keep drawing friend
Here's a little something I've done the past three days haha.
The chinese dragon is something I've always wanted to do! And now it's done.. yeah! Wanted to give it a lot of color and bring forward the "classic" chinese dragon. This is my version of it, crits welcomed.
Next is also a BIG favorite of mine: Mickey Mouse! I've finally learned a bit how to draw the old Mickey. Walt Disneys old Mickey Mouse & co is something I want to learn to draw really bad!
And I got some studies of hands & stuff coming up, they are just not quite done yet...
the dragon look awesome and very colorful good job with the scale on the dragon and the background, I mean how do u even finish something like this. its called devotion, love it! cool ur learning how to draw old mickey there.
looking forward to see some hands
Thank you very much my friend!
yeah doing some face studys too now also ;D
Hey the last drawing of the dragon is great! good color selection as usual. you may want to add more self-shadows to the dragon because the shading is too even, if you ask me. but overall, a job well done!
oh the micky mouse stuff also cool. hope youll do some details colored drawings in the future.
well, keep up the good work mate!
devastacio: Thank you very much, I'll try too think about that next time
Yeah I thought I would do that soon
Thanks my friend!
Okey done some studying lately...kinda. Just playing around..
So the first one is something from my imagination, not a study..I didn't think it looked so.. real. The eyes was a bit crazy and I have to study lips. Plus make the nosa just a bit bigger I think.
Second one is just a fun thing I thought of one day! WOHO
And last my portrait of Will Smith, I got a bit dissapointed with this actually.. I have to work with the eyes more, one of them are too far away from the other one and the foreheads shaddows is kinda messy. But I'm on my way, gonna study a bit more and hopefully I gonna nail this next time!
Take care everyone!
Been REALLY LAZY lately.
So here's a quick update for you my friends!
Remember that crits are very welcome, and thank you all for helping me improve so much!!! MANY THANKS!
Nice sketchbook you´ve got here. Nice to see improvements each page.
Pratchett´s Death on the first page hooked me, I even smiled.
It is good that you were using color pencils before having a tablet. Learning colors traditionally is so much better. (I didn´t)
Also, your cartoon drawings are way ahead than anything else. You could practice things which are not at the same level, like drawing from observation. There are things you learn doing one that benefits others that don´t seem related at first.
Oh, you probably already know this but it may be good to read someone else saying.
Good luck anyway, you´re going very well.
Oh, I also liked when you started filling the space around the characters with patterns, that was on page 2, I think. And you did again with the dragon. That improved the composition a lot.
Yeah a Pratchett fan ;P Thank you very much!!
Colour pencils are the ones I use the most, love them Easy to handle and beautiful colors!
Yeah I know, I have just bought a book with human anatomy, so I gonna study very much with that And thanks for the tip!!
Hudge thanks for helping me get better! Will try to not disappoint you

qlotzan: Thank you my friend! Very happy that you can see improvement!
Looked at a lava lamp one day and ...well.. here's the result!
Colors are done with regular color pencils, didn't want the color to be red like lava though, blue is more mystical I think o.O
!Fun Fact!: My friend asked me yesterday if I could draw a tattoo for him. Challenge accepted!! Going to do my best ofc, and I hope he will love it when it's done!!
Took a break from my schoolwork and practiced on drawing an eye from imagination, want to do some more studies
I loved the caricatures and noticed a significant improvement in the work between the first and last page. You're always getting better if you keep doing what you love.

Long time no see eh? hope you're doing well.
well about the updates; Will smith's portrait looks really funny. i like it. well anatomical errors here are minor ones so no worries. Im sure you'll be able fix them easily in your future drawings.
update #133 first piece looks scary. i guess she has all the reasons to scream like that. you could enhance the effect if you study the facial muscles more. one good place to start would be Andrew Loomis; Drawing Heads and Hands book. I like the mood of the second piece. nice work here mate
update #137: this is super cool. I always like to see those colored pencils of yours. you're really good with them. I have no crits about this, its just great!
well keep up the good work mate. Lets see more cool stuff soon.

Okey here's one of the things I've been drawing on this weekend,
been listening to Enya & E.S. Posthumus when drawing this.
Also, I know I've been very lazy with the anatomy... promise I will
draw some more of that!! Shame on me
Take care you guys!!
If you google, save loomis, you can find a lot of his books.
You should definitely do some more figure studies and work more digitally.

Velocity Kendall: Thank you!
Very nice that lava lamp inspired drawing. Did you watch it for a long time before the drawing? Because the shapes of the bubbles show a little study. Or you just had the knack for doing it already.
Very nice either way.
And the skull itself is a great exercise.
And just to keep up with the other posts... more figure studies, please.
