Palpitating precious posts batman!!
na na na na na na BATMAN!!! ha ha ha ha - man that cracks me up! "Batmanized" may be a new common terminology in my household I like it man - you are doing just awesome with that round brush! Tasty updates as always! How long did you spend on that last one?
Daryl Zero: "A few words here about following people. People know they're being followed when they turn around and see someone following them. They can't tell they're being followed if you get there first."
Whoa ur studies are really nice! The tones and the colors are really well put!Love it!Your sketches are also nice u should post more of ur work and more personal!Rally nice start keep it up
Real nice man! Your colored chicks look real good, but not to be a jerk or anything but; are you just copying or are you studying these? I had the problem of just copying pics and make them look good, it's really fun but the actual learning is not great. You need to put the information from the study to practical use to learn the most I think. But you probably know this
Anyway, the figures look great. Keep up the good woooooork!
meticulous-haha, i stole the batman thing from Dave Rapoza. It's the only way to end a bad study. I think I spent about 3 hours on that last one.
Cameli-The kindness! Many thanks Cameli. Some more personal stuff shall be up soon.
Alexson-Dude, I know exactly what you mean and I am trying really hard these days to break out of "copying mode". It's tough! There's a HUGE gap in my ability when I paint from my head compared to when I am doing a study. Thanks for mentioning it though, that's definitely something I'm trying to improve.
Parsakoira-Hooray for sexy chicks!
So here's another study and a couple random things. The girl with the spear is something I'm trying to take to completion. I painted it in earlier but failed, the colors I was pulling out of my head were way wrong. Workin' on iiiiiiit

Cyprinus-Thanks, love your stuff!
Couple more quick studies. My personal paintings make my eyes bleed, the colors are so off. I am trying to apply this stuff, and hopefully I'll be able to create something postable soon.
A couple studies and application of study from head that came out poopy.
Poopy, he says. Man, I hope some day my poopy art from my head looks that awesome. I especially like the girl in post #20. I always appreciate when the model is captured in motion as opposed to just standing there. Motion has always been the hardest thing for me to draw, so you've done well with it.
I'll definitely keep watching!
Here's my Book of Sketches

I am loving these studies, they're very very solid. Your colours, form and the way you block is brilliant. Great stuff.
I want to throw in a piece of advice, if you want to improve your imagination work your best bet is to WORK ON imagination stuff. It will suck at first and be so damn annoying because your studies are so much better but you'll improve much much faster.
Right now just do what you're doing, a focused study on your weakness then right after you finish it start a new painting from imagination. Even though it might suck try to make yourself enjoy it and FINISH it. Those are the most important things, doing work from imagination, applying your studies to it and finishing the work.
I really admire your paintings and I hope to see a ton more. Take care buddy
damn this sketchbook is sexy...
the b&w in your last post is just beautiful!!! Keep rockin!!!
Your work here so far isn't bad. I would try to draw from imagination more. Eventually, I think you might get the hang of it.
Cozmo-Thanks a lot! You are too kind, good sir
Beeboobop-You can never paint too many naked ladies. For studying, of course.
lilnebo-Appreciate the advice and time taken to check my SB out! I'm tryin my best with that imagination stuff and applying my studies. The Brad Rigney crimson daggers interview on loop helps a lot motivation-wise
The Jester-Thank you!
Ninjacat11-Thanks ninjacat, will do.
So been doing more straightforward study applications these days. Onward!
Great stuff, very inspiring.
jackpot_anjr90-Thanks for the comment jackpot Rendering is one of those things I'm consciously trying to improve since I'm not too used to rendering my own drawings full blast, hopefully it'll get better eventually...someday...maybe...
m7stone-Thank you! Glad to inspire. This site is an endless cycle of inspiration being shared, it's aweessoommme
Loathsome-Thanks! I shall. Hope to see some cool studies from you too.
Here are a few things I did the last couple days. A couple of studies to further study skin tones and values, a cliched hammer lady with cliched blood effects, and head practice. The sketches are a mixture of reffed and unreffed, you can probably tell by looking at them. Need to do more studies...Onward!
couple more pages
Wolf-Thank you dudee
A study, a character I'm workin on, and sketches from head.
Brilliant stuff. So good to see you applying because you're already improving leaps and bounds from it. Just keep on applying and finishing those imagination paintings and you're going to be sooooooooooooooooooo damn good so soon.
And yeah, cryptcrawler is so much inspiration
Last thing though I think I'll go against a comment someone posted about smoothing out the blending, that doesn't really matter too much with the studies. Studies are to learn from not to make look pretty so just focus on gaining the most out of them and the blending will come on it's own.
Take care and keeping owning it all!
lilnebo-Thanks so much for the encouragement lilnebo. The applications really do help a lot and your words, as always, are really really appreciated
Yor-Thank you! Yor awesome hehe
Just came back from being away for a couple days, so I banged these out for fun. Gonna get back to studies right away. (the thing she's holding in the second image is a helmet, not a cd player lol, need to work on design)
Awsome sketchbook man the studys are looking really good
looking forward to seeing more
keep burnin those wacom nibs haha
sketchbook updated October 6th
Really nice. I love the top post #55, as I love hands in paintings - especially on females. Where do you source your reference, are they just lucky web-searches?
