Some dicking around from yesterday
great work, you're doing very well in my book
I like how you handle color and your strokes are progressing rapidly.
Keep pushing for awesome!
Freaking amazing. I loved the drawings. You've really got a great grasp on gesture and beatiful line. The paintings are looking neat too, some of the light effects are really well achieved but I gotta tell you: I like iy waaaay more when you go loose than when you take it too far ( not that it happens often) Most of them have a great sense of composition and atmosphere. Yet there are others that I find lack precisley more atmospheric integration of the characters, I mean, like more blurry on them, they're too defined for my taste and the colours sometimes are a bit too saturated on the background , if the figure doesn't have a lot of temperature balance it gets lost in the sense that my eye goes first to the middle ground than it should. All these critics are very tiny in the overall picture, I mean, it all looks quite cool and the drawings are to die for so please keep i up it's great to see some fresh ideas and innovative styles like yours!
Harmageddon - Thanks man! You keep pushing as well
Suira - Thanks for taking the time to give me an honest opinion! I really appreciate it I've been trying to push defining things a bit more, but honestly I enjoy the loose stuff more (which I'm sure most of us do lol)
A character thing I wanted to try
Hey man! I like the idea and where it could go, kinda "fallout"-ish, wich is really cool. But there's a couple things: she needs more gesture, I mean I would exagerate a bit more the pose more like an inversed "S", and yeah the arm needs a bit more pieces of maybe a control system or something to make it more "mechanical", and the last one : I'd put some blending on the upper left corner and maybe some on the character feet, that could maybe merge it a little more with the environment. Anyway cool idea.
kikindaface - Thanks! Yeah I probably should have thought out the structure of that thing more
Suira - thanks for the input
minute gestures and some super quick character sketches
Hey man I like what youre doing You work with nice confident shapes and your colours are nice. Watch for the proportions in your finished illustrations, both arms of that mecha engineer girl are short. The designs of your fantasy chicks are nice they dont look like a character of main focus, the angel in #214 is being portrayed as a kind of hunter angel dude worth an illustration of her own, so grander wings more elaborate shoulder and such. It's all a little understated for a main figure which is fine as a design but for an illustration she should be of more interest. Hope that makes sense I like the image but I feel we should be more in awe of her as this legendary huntress, she should look that part.
TFsean - Hey man thanks for the critique! that's some really helpful insight for me. It's hard for me to see some of these things I guess since my face is planted on my computer screen 24-7 much appreciated
n1frit - thanks!
