I need to go over my preston blair book some more...and work on a contest entry and practice perspective and do more film studies and order a light table and eat healthier and go to the gym more. Not sure if I'll be posting the film studies :/ so much to do! And my graduation party's on sunday!
I'm gonna be gone a couple days, here's a wip for a contest I'm working on. It's taking a lot of work and I guess I'm getting to that stage where I'm not sure of the idea or my skills, but everyone I show seems to like it and I'm excited to finish and enter.
ugh it's 4 AM I should probably sleep
I think your characters are standing on different perspective planes. I put some of them into their own boxes, and the bases of those boxes don't agree with their feet:
I have succesfully created my first piece of animation art using a light table and I am displaying it for free here, you're welcome. may your eyes bleed before its excellence.
okay no idea what I was doing when I made that anyway here's a few drawings, I'm too lazy, I'll start working harder, haven't I said this before, blah blah blah, the end.
wow dude. Crazy amounts of studies. Congrats on your first animation.
Sooo many studies, you are crazy! I really love your dynamic poses and the latest camel studies. Aren't you one of the people who creates cartoon films? Cartoon characters are really good. Keep it up!
Gah, I haven't been here in so long! Your colours have improved so much since then, its crazy... And it's nice to see you've got a personal style starting to develop and show through too From what I can see you've kept up a really good momentum as usual, waay better than I have - you're putting me to shame, vertical! :') aha, it's good to see you're still doing so well. Keep it goinggg
haven't seen you in a while. keep it up man, good stuff. I like the supermarket aisles thing.
You seem to get really good lines-of-action. That's great... I can feel the sweeping movements in your drawings.
Saw the very very short animation of a frog's butt going up in the air?
Love the Tom & Jerry stuff... they're why I got interested in animation myself.
Focus some more on construction of shapes that read... it will help in the end. The drawing (the design/structure), as Craig Mulllins says, is 80% of 'it'.
Hello conceptart. It's been a while. You look nice, did you do something with your skin?
Sorry I haven't been seeing you, there's...another website. I've been posting to tumblr okay.
Don't look at me like that conceptart.org. I just don't love you that way any more. we can still be friends though, and I'll post on you every now and again. Like old times. Won't that be fun?
XD ok seriosuly here's an update, I got into TAD! It's been fun, lots of work and I'm getting better fast. I'm still in foundations A and I haven't made much impressive stuff :/ but I'll post some of what I got
Also I joined a tumblr group called the pokemonathon where artists draw all 151 pokemon, so here's the best ones I've made so far.
I haven't really been animating sorry to say. I should start working out of Preston Blair's and william's books more.
Thanks for the comments while I was away, I read them but didn't really think about them. Shapes that read...I'll be keeping that in mind, great advice.
Can I just say that your latest stuff looks pretty darn good?
I just really want to see more stuff from imagination.
Thanks KONM! I really want to do more stuff from imagination! So I will. Serious stuff I mean, not just pokemon XD
So I'll put more energy into that, expect it next update! which will hopefully be on Thursday
In the meantime here's a bunch of homework, plus a vulpix and ninetales picture I did to practice japanese print-ish lines.
