shiNIN: Tch, sorry I've neglected yours! I really must pay it a visit after I get all this coursework aside. Once all this stuff is under control I'll be getting right back into being propperly part of CA again. And thank you for the kind words! Ideally, I'd have everything nice and painterly, but I've been so short of time the quality dips and dips. Atleast I am getting a better understanding of digital, so I'm getting a little faster, perhaps quality can catch up again.
And I can understand comics being hard, I made myself do a comic entirely for the reason I am terrible at them. Always too scared to actually start one, so I challenged myself to do this.
Nim: Ah! What a surprise to see you on my sketchbook! Without sounding too creepy, I'm a real fan of your work. Really impressive line work, pluss I love those avian people you're working on. And you're right on with the technique. I'm always on that balance between experimenting and keeping to the foundations of what I'm trying to learn. Cheers for the comment! I need to repay the favour when I've had some sleep.
Thanks again you guys. I'm so looking forward to finishing this project.
Finally finished collegeeeeee
Now I can get back to studies and drawing for the sake of drawing, atleast till uni starts. Ooooh, It's kind of exciting!
For an islander, atleast.
Anyways, yes. I need to step back into the game. I'm going to work on all the weaknesses I already know about, along with trying to get back into the habit of spending more than 3 minutes on a drawing.
Lets try and cram in a load of improvement before september. Yesssssss
Congrats on finishing college!
Promising start to the summer with those sketches, too. Your line weight is fantastic these days.
(aaa homestuck no not you too)
'Fraid so, mate. Been one of them lot for more than I'd be willing to say. You should see my tumblr, so much homestuck. I spared this good site from the majority of it.
Bit lazy today, only got two studies done so far, I'll start kicking myself into gear propperly tommorow. Breaking myself back into it sloowwwly.
Just thought I would give you a shameless bump up the charts because I like it in here! I have no crits to offer and found the water colour bits very interesting indeed. I just tried some of those again and bade a balls up, but never mind I still took something away from it so even fails are useful sometimes.
stay well and all the very best to you.
P.S. congrats on the award and well done for getting through college.
A great kind hearted lumbering bullock

Hey, Lightship! Cheers for the kind words. I really need to get back into my watercolours. I'm full on going to make myself get back into painting again. AND DRAWING IN GENERAL. I'm so rusty, believe it or not. ahaha.
Waffel: Cheers for the kind words, mate! And I wish I could say they were mirrored by my own hand. I just flip them when I upload things so I can see the mistakes easier. Would be interesting trying to draw mirrored compositions by hand though.. Might give it a try some time.
And thank goodness! Onto a new page here. No more catching sight of that ugly comic project.
Oh. And some more drawings.
super well done on your prize and your show, well deserved for all your hard work! you rock

Aw, cheers Kendall. I was feeling right low on the final college show, but I suspect it's because I was so stressed ahaha.
Gonna be chillin' this whole summer. Just churning out studies, and maybe trying to do comics decently that would be nice.

Good on you, mate. Good on you.
Sketchbook --I'd love some feedback!
So much progress, it's madness! Love first drawing from #1954, You're traditional boss, but your digital colours are a bit too intense for me. Anyway, keep updating and being awesome
A guy in a pile of burgers being anally pleasured by some girl?
I call that progressive.
I've noticed that you're figures look more structured now. The curvaceousness is still pretty out there but I get a proper feeling of weight and balance from the recent sketches.
One thing that you could work on is "wrapping" the eyes around the skull. In a lot of these it looks like you force the face to be flat so that you can apply the proportions more easily.
I recently did some unusual angles for face (studies from Jack Hamm) and it's really surprising how much the shape of an eye changes. Don't force an eye to be round just because you think that's how it's supposed to look.
I'm rambling now soo
Keep up the good work
yes very good style love you fantasy character especialy
hu-ha: Ahaha, cheers mate. And you're right. I tend to go a bit too vibrant
with the digitals. I just can't help myself! But I'll try to tone it down.
Xel: Yep. that's litterally exactly what's happening. My friends asked me to draw weird shit of them all.
The hamburger stack /was/ my idea though. I felt the peice was missing something.
Ah, and you're right I still need work on my figures. And faces! I really need to start getting a study schedual again.
Koomega: Er, what?
awesome updateS plural! someone's been busy! looking good! and yeah hentai is great for keeping excited... to draw! that's how I used to grind figure study ;). especially like the new colour stuff. the shawled girl in last pic is adorable.
Nim: Ah, What's the point of doing figure studies if you can't draw a bit of porn now'er then? ;D
(Great sketch, by the way, took me a minute to notice it!)
And thank you! I'm usually much more busy than this on the holidays, I've been a bit too easy on myself ahaha.
My tablet decided I didn't deserve pressure sensitivity on Wednesday so the linework's a bit lacking on the first three.
Hmm. Wish this update was bigger. I'll probably chuck up some quick head studies later.

Going to Ireland first thing tommorow, so I better get replies done now lest I forget.
Tronrobot: Ahaha, good to see you again! And aye, I'm always swapping pictures around. I hate looking at the same icon too long.
Kev: Thank you and will do!

Less than a week till my (and granddad's) birthday! I'm finally starting to shake off that weird gloom and actually getting active again. I think a trip to Ireland was the trick.
Coincidentally, I unearthed my grandparents' scanner today. Most of this was done this morning, and many studies I've done are on paper too big to scan, but hey atleast it's something.
You have some really strong figures, such awesome movement and flow to them.
keep working hard!
very elegant! you don't settle for easy poses. very fluid and far from orthographic.
I find it nice to bring some nice hand picked and condensely collated ref ready to glance at.
but I only use it so much that it doesn't kill the fun of drawing out of mind. (this is my on the go thing.)
your characters are real personalities
Aw, thanks you lovelies. It means so much to hear such positive comments, especially from artists I admire. I've only one picture to post up, I'm feeling underthe weather and there for can't be arsed to scan my studies. I'll do that later.
Mateja: Ah! Thank you! That was my first time joining a weekly challenge. I'm going to make myself do every week till I'm at uni now. I really want to push myself. I'm glad you liked my elf though, there was a lot of good participants so I'm happy mine stuck out for you.
Andre: Thanks, mate. I'm determined to improve my figures, specially poses. Its also really fun areas to study too, coincidentally. I'm sure I can make myself do way more than I'm currently doing.
Aryeh: Thank you! I've had a quick glance at yours and I could definitely say the same for you right back! I must comment later, I always forget.
Nim: What's the fun of bland poses, eh? ;D I usually fail spectacularly, but sometimes things click, and that's what I'm looking for.
Oh and that's such a good idea! I must admit I rarely have reffs at hand unless I'm doing studies, stupid, I know. I hope you don't mind, but I saved that to my reffs folder ahaha. It could really help me out in tough situations.
I'll definitely start making my own too, the organisational nerd in me embrases such an idea.
