Well, a good friend of mine's got a spare one she's willing to give me. Can you imagine? I was extatic. xD It'll be a while till I'm back on the island though, so I'll make do with a mouse for now.
Right. I'm calling this done because I can't be arsed with the last two faces.

Your sketches are looking great. Anatomy is really hard to pull off well but I can see that you are getting there. the Wip keeps getting sharper.
These Fijit Friends seem really close. I would love to sketch them.

I think your pencils have improved and the rendering in some of your studies has good form!
I think your colour in the latest digital piece are better then before. You just need to watch your cool colours, try experimenting with some colours that aren't actually blue for some of your cool. grey next to colours like orange and red will look blue/cool and you can get away with what would be a warm grey with colours that are much warmer and it will seem cool.
I just hope CA.org is ready for you to have a tablet!pld:
gorgeous creative work, keep it up
"Kendall: Oi, you! I see what you're doing, trying to clean up my horrid sketches. I have a right mind to edit a dick on her nose for having a stupid jaw. "
Hehe you do love hiding them under loads of self critical scribbled text, but under there theres loads of GOOD.

HAHAHA I just saw what VK did earlier on. fantastic heh
#1520 figures look great! Where are the pics from and how long do you spend on each figure? I like the worried girl's face very much as well.
Painting with a mouse is so hard, and that's why
you did a brutal good job on your last one.
And I like your drawings, especially the
penises and vaginas.
You are so cool
and I like to be your friend.
You have some beautiful concepts/illustrations here. ;-; <3 Nice work!
One thing--I'm sure you know this, but--your proportions can be off sometimes. You've also got a couple figures where the balance seems a little wonky.. But you're already doing TONS of figure drawing, so just keep working on that!
Keep it up!
Guuyysssssss, my apologies for my late replies; I realised most of my drawings have been done on sketchbooks which don't fit in the scanner. And you know me, I don't like posting unless I have LOADS of pictures to justify it.
So this is what I scraped up from the smaller ones.
Zeich: Aye, I hear it's a weird sensation at the start, still, like you say, definitely worth it in the end, eh?
Tinpock: ANATOMY OH GOD. It is taking me embarrasingly long to remember muscles/proportions, really frustrating. But I'll get there.
Bruce: Always a pleasure seeing you drop by! Oh man, you're right about the colours. I only started taking notes on colour and tone in painting the day before yesterday. NONE OF IT IS SINKING IN ;A; NONE OF IT. But I'm going to start doing observationals. Atleast, indoors, I.. Well. I'm in Ireland and it rains all the time. ANyways, cheers for the crits, mate! I need them!
Lohes: Och, you're too kind! But thank you
Kendall: Oh you are kind, you are. By the way, I was meaning to thank you MUCH sooner for the reff, they definitely remind me of Shayle and I could do with gathering more inspiration for her wears. It's rather hard designing things for murderous, hairless queens. xD
Krysjez: Surprisingly not that long! 5/10 minutes because the sketchbook I did them in was small... And I'd had two cans of red bull. Quite fun doing rapid figure studies, definitely helps get me going in the morning.
Plissken: Drawing with a mouse is surprisingly fun when I'm not using mspaint. xD Cheers for the kind words, mate. And with the amount of figure problems I have, there'll be a lot more bums and willies heading this way.
Jess: Och! Thank you! And you're definitely right. Proportions, anatomy, foreshortening, form and perspective are all the nails in my coffin right now. Rest assured I'll keep on working on the first four as much as possible. Cheers!
OH! Also; got my results today. An A and two C's. I'll let you guess what I got the A in. I'm pretty stoked though, considering I decided everything I did was terrible and only warranted three D's and a slap in the face. xD
Stuff is looking awesome, Naidy! I'm loving how much your pencils are continually improving, as well with your work in digital as well!
I know for myself that opening up myself to painting improved my drawing by miles since there's so much to learn from the whole process of unlimited color and value. So, definitly keep up the hard work!
Malakuko: Hey, mate! Cheers for the kind words! Ah, I lost my steam once I got to the second page and ended faffing around. Still, I definitely think I'll do some more watercolour studies.
Here's a quick painting of Thain's Mum before I go to bed.
The watercolor eyes are so fantastic.
I think that is the most beautiful work that I ever
seen with watercolors. Honestly.
And I would like to mention above, that plump
legged girl attacking that pure little fellow,
made my heart to skip a beat. I got so excited.
I knew that never happened, but I would like
to see her molest him. In a brutal fashion.
Ye Gods its taken me ages to go through this book, and yes the folks are right theres improvement on every single page, I now have someone to emulate work load wise I cant see me drawing my own willy anytime soon, Cant even see it cos I'm a fat old fart LOL.
all the best with the work and keep up the work rate, thanks for posting.

I totally love the watercolor eyes! Some irises are truly wonderful. Wow. I need to touch watercolor again even if I will mess it up
Really impressed with the work you're putting in!
The head studies you're doing have some good structure/form to them. A few of them might be a bit long, but none of these "look" wrong.
It's nice to see that the studies are starting to come through in your original work, bout in the line quality and the structure of the form, particularly the heads!
Also the watercolours eye studies look good, you just need to workout how to do a similar thing digitally and you'll be flying!
Keep at it!
Can't believe I let myself get so rusty with watercolours! Here's another study, only I turned it into a dead girl because the reff was frustrating me. IT IS LIKE I AM TAKING OUT MY RAGE BY PAINTING THEM DEAD
Plissken: Plissken, oh Plissken. You gave me a right laugh there. I'm pretty sure Thain would have liked that too.
Lightship: Oh lord, please tell me you didn't try to look through ALL the pages! That'd be a nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone! And I don't blame you, I wouldn't like drawing myself naked either. Although I do know people who have. *shudder*
Don't worry about my work rate either, couldn't slow down if I tried! aha!
ShiNIN: Oh yes! Watercolour studies are more fun than I thought, I always used to do unreffed paintings from the top of my head, not good when you got a problem with colour and tones in the first place. xD
Bruce: Hey, mate! Cheers for the kind words, though by the look of it you're working harder than I am. Inspiring how you can spend so long on your studies, really need to do that myself! And I'll try my best, mate!
Hopefully I'll more painting studies to put up soon enough, I'm not happy with the eyes on this one, they're looking in different directions AND I managed to make the eyes look flat. The bottom of the nose and the mouth don't look too bad to me at the moment though. I know I did something weird with the nose bridge though. Any crits appreciated!
long time since last time visited your place. your art skills show improve i like the few posts that i really missed if because my final exams of hsc.

I really ended up messing around again. STILL MESSING UP EYES. Oh lord, droopy eyes everywhere.
Sushy: Thank you! Aha, I think watercolours are the only medium I can use. xD
Qlotzan: Hey, mate! Cheers for the kind words

No honestly Naidy I went through every page, how can I possibly comment on it if I dont look at it all.
I did the same thing with LtPlissken's book too! its time well spent and gives me ideas and in the last case a bloody good laugh too.
all the best and thank for the visit and advice its much appreciated.

I noticed that your AntiVirus is not legit, hardly cracked
and it is outdated. Your clock is also not showing the correct
time, most probably cause your motherboard battery is too low.
Ahm, I know this dead girl. She is from 'Blade Runner'?
I saw her dying many times, and she is hot while she was dying.
You are very exciting lately and you area leaving me breathless
most of the time. You are better than the best. Thank you for all this.
Good stuff. Some of the poses looks a little stiff and the faces too elongated. When you don't work from ref the bodies tend to have some incorrect proportions, such as the legs being too fat compared to the torso. However other no ref images, like the two that look like life drawings, one with the woman covering her face, look good.
Keep at it. The watercolor eyes are my favorite.
hello naidy.. your water colors have improved a lot. looks like you have been drawing a lot haha. though theres a lot of room to improve in regards of anatomy... some of the poses are a little stiff. you should try dividing the forms into different parts for getting a dynamic pose and then kind of draw the character on it. your portrait studies are nice.. and it was not obvious at all but i see you affinity towards elves. oh btw that lion ox hybrid creature is nice . draw it do a bigger one .. keep drawing more. i shall come back soon XD
sense of purpose
OKAY SO LIKE those watercolours are crazy awesome. They've got a roughness to them that's really appealing.
Right. Bare with me, mates. Since I keep getting so many comments on my proportions and anatomy I've been buckling down and doing as many studies as I can. I'm not happy with any of them. Probably because I'm a little frustrated with my current level of 'skill'.
Poses; I'm aware they're very stiff. I'll work on that but not before I start feeling like I have some sort of grip on the previous problems. Can't work on everything at once so I'm going to focus on figures and proportions.
I'm just going to do replies and later stick up a few of them before going to bed or something. Who knows, might even pull an all nighter to make up for the fact I slept in today.
Zeich: For about an hour, then the nose and eyes bugged me too much.xD Was fun messing around with the composition though.
Lightship: Mine AND all of plissken's? You, sir, have balls of steel to make it through all of our stuff. One thing; make sure you do way more studies than I did! As you could probably see it took me about 10 pages till I took crits seriously.
Plissken: Oooh, you almost got me. almost. Aha! And no idea, mate. I just did her from refference and completely messed around with the colours.
Ccs: Hey, cheers for the crits, mate. I have the worst time identifying my faults. Didn't realise I was consistently making faces too long either. Ughgh I'm going to do my best to work on that. Thanks again!
Sin eater: Oh hey! Most definitely room to improve. I am having the worst time with figures, must mean I'm not studying hard enough. And a lion ox hybrid? No idea where I've drawn that- I forget what I've drawn days afterwards since I'm always moving onto other things. Cheers though!
Clur: Och, thanks mate! I'm having fun messing around with watercolours again, usually I'm like "NO. I CAN'T TOUCH THOSE UNTIL I CAN -insert thing here-"
So, like I said, I'll attatch some stuff to this comment before I go to bed or something. Keep up the crits, everyone. You probably have a good idea about how much I need them. xD
