This thread is going to give me splendid nightmares, I just feel it.
Oh, here's a good one I have... It's from the anime Durarara and it's from close to the end of the second arc. She likes stabbing people, especially her pedo teacher:
Yeah, I think we should try and avoid having this become a 'GORE" thread...maybe stick to pics that are creepy...you guys know what I mean right? so no exploded faces, brains hanging out etc..
just a suggestion...I'll see what I come up with...

NICE DAY' FOR AN EXORCISM?!
don't know who these are by...
I hated this movie like the measels. For some reason at that age this movie just got worse and worse everytime I whatched it. I farthest I could whatch was round about here.
This one is pretty scary. Look at those eyes man..., compare the left side expression with the right.
I think I have to spend some time scaring myself. I have gotten a little rusty.

More like the most grotesque images you have. I find it a bit tasteless trying to outgore each other. If you're willing to spend a few hours trying to scare yourself, then watch http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...0698427111488#
probing the memory for old stuff.
Most of what scared me once no longer have effect. Most of what scares me is coded into narative or sound. The image alone might not do.
The gargoyles in Ghostbusters I recall to be something that had some awesomeness for me.
Back in the old day's, funny how being shut in a hall without no return just hearing your doom's footsteps was so effective back then. And all you have is a few rounds.
This image will be a dud for anyone who hasn't whatched the original movie. Still have that effect for me though.
I was maybe ten or so when I saw this face in Hannibal, couldn't sleep for weeks.

I find old medical stuff quite creepy. Alot of the instruments have a very ominous quality to them and bizarre uses.
This is a neurosurgical set.

This lovely thing was used for blood letting.
Castrator: notice the cows head engraved onto the handle.
Deleted the eyeball as it seems to be causing a bit of a problem.

i like where this thread is going. jcpahl your posts are still blowing my mind. They all remind me of the artist who used to do the images for "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark". More plz!
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

EEEEEEWWWW... Some images in this thread are between scary and disgusting, makes me want to puke... >,<
Hey zaorr, is that the clown from one of Stephen King's movie? I forgot the title though
Which I honestly thought was more funny than scary....So many people I know have said things like "My parents/older sibling/uncle/whoever made me watch IT when I was a kid, and it made me terrified of clowns!" I watched it when I was probably 6, and I thought back then that it was funny....I don't think I got the scary part. Haha.

"I started to see human beings as little lonesome, water-based pink meat, life forms pushing air through themselves and making noises that the other little pieces of meat seemed to understand."
I know jcpahl posted a still from this earlier, but what a great little shocker this is...
On the whole, human beings want to be good, but not too good, and not quite all the time.
