Hello, My name is Tom Fenton. I have been drawing ever since i was little and have only just realized how much i can accomplish by setting goals and aspirations. I am 20 and feel life is going much faster. So i thought if i start at full wack and never go back it could be an interesting future to be in. I am absoloutely inspired by Andrew Jones and he is the reason i have joined and want to become an aspiring artist. The Motivation i get now is because i want to create my Mind and share it through vast colours and shapes, creating as Android does, Chaos and Beauty in one realm.
Right then, I will Begin!
By the way, even though these are quicky's i have been using a digital tablet for a year mine is a very small bamboo fun at A5 size and i found the best way to get used to getting mind to hand to screen abilities greater is to use the tablet instead of a mouse, i now feel a bit wierd when using a mouse but i dont play games so thats fine with me

Really like the last concept. Looks like you've got a cool imagination!
I like that you're looking to practice every day. Question, why are you trying to do your studies so fast? They feel a little rushed. I feel you could get a lot more out of them if you slowed down and really -studied- your subject.
You've got great ambition. Keep going!
Ah some good critique Yeah should concentrate more on my drawings and take more time here's what ive produced iknow its a little off in places though. But my strokes arnt as good as on paper at the moment. Thankyou campti01.
Ifeel im in serious need of a teacher.
Ok so im pretty tired been drawing all day shame my scanner is to loud cus mother dearest is in bed. Here is a WIP of the imagination image i first sketched this morning at the top of the post altered the hands a bit and altered legs. trying to use nice colours like a goldfish scene of colours.
Hi, so today i thought i would study more painting as i only had a small time to spend on drawing not by choice. but i also managed to fit in some traditional sketches which i will scan in next week. Ok so here is a tiny update from my imagination sketch from the end of day 1

Here's a quick one, ive been doing more traditional sketches il get them scanned in tomoz at college i dont have the funds to get a nice scanner/printer. Engand pretty damn sly for jobs at the moment.
Anyways here's a big angry gorilla being controlled by a small happy phsychotic child lol. don't ask! Also just started the Project Concept art at college in which we get to do a few peices on Alter Ego most happy ive ever been when i saw the brief!
Gorilla Warfare -
here is something ive been working on with the alter ego project in college.
some critique or tips on improvement would be good, just ordered a life drawing book from internet and im attending free life drawing lessons on mondays and fridays.
sketch and a WIP:
Oooo.. i found some old paintings from last year.
the first one was from a few references slapped together then pretty much traced cus it was one of my first so not very happy with it. However the second took me about 6 hours and i know its not that good but it was my final peice for my BTEC First Diploma course, and i passed smoothly.

argh! i so hate this i cant get my new hp deskjet f2400 scanner to work! this is so anoiying because ive got so much workload of drawings to scan and its getting so big its gonna take me hours to scan them in by the time i get this scanner to work!
Ok, finally got a an hour on the college scanner so here is a full sketchbook i filled in 3 days got loads more to scan in cus im just constantly sketching and doing my 7 projects at english college. Hope to see some constructive criticism.
Got that scanner for another hour this morning got up early especially for it lol,
anyway more anatomical studies, i think this is all helping me however i never see improvement in myself. 3 weeks till i get to submit my life drawings here from 1 of my projects.
Hi again Tom, talking to yourself lol. your going crazy mate. good job u splat your brain on to paper! anyways heres some more studys from before the last studies of bridgeman il scan in some imaginative stuff from yesterday i drew later + i completed 40 life drawings yesterday to, all to be submitted soon.
i love ANIMATION it is so awesome, anyways il be putting together a short film about the big bang so il submit my sketchbook and final in about 5 weeks time i hope it comes out good.
Good studies so far! Keep it up, look forward to seeing some of your animation.
thanks wilko yeah, cant wait to finish my final animation. i had the choice of doing 3 different follow on years for my final year before i go to university. my choices were animation, graphics or games design. i chose animation because it is the most work, because u have to do the most drawing meaning my drawing skills would improve a hell of alot more, then if i was in games design. because in the courses last year was the same graphics, animation and games design but games design was not only technical but included concept art, animation did not. so i spoke to the tutors at college and came up with the idea of switching concept art over to animation, for obvious reasons. 1. being that games design was more technical and much more to do with numbers, i thought people in that area would like to focus more on how well they could make the games and put them together. and 2. because animation included vast amounts of time on drawing and life drawing whcih meant that anyone in that part would be learning to draw at a much faster rate, making them ready for concept art if they fancied it.
Those are some excellent studies that you have there, Tom. Maybe you should diversify the subjects that you study when the opportunity arises.

Thanks dude, I will test out that straight away. Infact, i will start a fresh sketchbook now, because it's my birthday today and this week i worked hard on my projects. Il scan in the result tomorrow afternoon =)
P.S. I think I'm addicted to drawing...
EDIT: Sorry, yesterday! was my birthday lmao... My Baaaaad!
Hi guys just spent that 2 days of my birthday time, on going birmingham to the shops and BUILDING my own desk! il have to take a picture for u guys think ive done a good job!
so here is what i did in the little bits where i wasnt busy! all imagination apart from 1 or 2 hand studies which u will notice.
from new book:
PS - When i said i went birmingham shopping i didnt mean clothes, i spent 60 pounds on books! wtf! lol
Woah, I really love all the ideas you have on here and the amount of anatomy studies is impressive
Loving the current monster too. Hmm, Lighting wise I'd say just doodle a sun in one of the corners and lines from that, anything that hits it you make lighter, sorry, I know that's an incredibly basic tip (I'm not too good with lighting myself xD)
Keep up the good work though!
