I have had a bit of a break from drawing, life and work got in the way and i didnt draw much for a year. I have recently started drawing again and thought id start a sketchbook to get some feedback and post some stuff.

did this after watching some of Feng Zhu's tutorials
todays offering, i'm not sure if it would look better cropped
ref used for the police
just a black and white speedy today, i have been watching some Feng Zhu tutorials from his site and wanted to work on getting values down quickly
2 more quick greyscale pics, im still working on getting stuff sown quickly so these were done pretty fast

here is an environment and a photo study that kind of looks ok if you squint and ignore that i forgot to hide the perspective lines
just a kind of generic space marine dude today. I kind of wish i had picked a less stiff pose now
here is a girl from photo ref, and a santa sketch as it is approaching that time of year again
the cube in the warehouse was a photo study that i added the cube and the guy just to make it more interesting.
ok here is a Sargent study and something i started tonight
here is another photo study and i worked on the pic from yesterday a little. Im not too happy with the legs on the creature, i should have used ref.

here is an enviro done over a 3d base. im undecided if its actually quicker to draw the perspective rather that using a 3d base.
well i have spent today building a new comp. i had some major issues which have taken all day to sort out, but i managed to draw this guy on my laptop while windows 7 was updating
